Hello there!

This piece was inspired by a particularly harrowing evening with KFHs (kids from HADES). In self-defense I started plotting—er, planning—the fates of future nieces and nephews and all the subliminal messages I could send them to improve behavior.

Sadly I came up short on the subliminal message department, but I did end up with this cute piece. Maybe the cheery colors and good wishes I implanted in it will produce a happy disposition at the very least

This is my second embroidery project. I used back stitch, straight stitch, French knot, and the pretty nifty satin stitch.

Hello!

I'm a crafty kind of girl, but this was my first embroidery project. When my brother announced he was getting married in May, I wanted to give them something that really captured who he and his future wife were as a couple. That was a challenge since they didn't do handmade things. We've all been confronted with this problem at one point or another.

Things have since changed, unfortunately, but I'm now free to reveal the “Big Project”, as it were.

I bought the Sublime Stitching book specifically for the love birds and just went crazy. My brother is a musician. Swallows are very important to our family. My brother and father have tattoos of them. Mine is scheduled right after I get over my fear of needles Future SIL was an aspiring tattoo artist and amazing artist in general.

I freehanded the music notes. I employed the back stitch 90% of the time, some satin stitch, and used the wedding colors for the birds. The eye colors are also true to life.
