I agree too about the KBShimmer swirling tutorial... Ive only done 2 swirl soaps so far but they both turned out really awesome with her advice!

A hoppy wheaty smell doesn't sound so bad... theres a chance though that I'll never like the smell of this soap, Im a bit weird about smells. I should get someone else to smell test it, my bf refused to because I was like erg this smells odd! I wanted beer soaping to work for me but maybe its just not going to be my thing

Ooh blowing it accross the soap sounds almost magical! I'll have to try that way! I did once sprinkle it accross through a sieve and it looks alright, but thats more for a sprinkle look not a pretty sparkly sheen!

I made CP beer soap the other night using homebrew pale ale from a friend cos I thought that it would be really awesome to make handmade soaps with handmade beer. While I was mixing the lye with the beer I found the smell super offensive and I can still smell that in the soap behind the smell of lime EO. How much beer are you suppose to smell in the soap? Does it go away with time?

Does anyone have any tips for making successful beer soap?

Another question that I have regarding soap but not beer soap- how do you get pretty sparkly tops with mica? I attempted to brush some on a log before cutting with a paint brush but it didnt look graceful and then I rubbed at it with my fingers and it still doesnt look graceful!

Yay I got my package from Kwiltykate today! I love it all... cutest fabrics! I got 2 pot holders, 1 mitt, a cute little purse that has strawberry fabric, cotton (actually the cotton is pretty awesome cos my local craft store ran out of white and I was sad so now Im happy!), some cute kitty fabric and green and gold peanut m&ms (go team!) hehe I kinda cracked into them as soon as I saw them!
