1  Bat wall decorations [pic heavy!] in Halloween Decor and Parties by heatherface on: September 12, 2009 06:10:48 PM
These bats were very simple to make.  I found an outline of a bat online, traced different sizes of said bat onto posterboard, and cut them out.  To affix them to the wall I just used masking tape.  I folded them to make their wings flap a little Smiley

Going across the door to my room at the shop:

Extreme closeup of a bat friend:

They're in my hair!  They're in my hair!  Get them out!!!

2  Papel Picado-esque Garland! [pic heavy!] in Halloween Decor and Parties by heatherface on: September 12, 2009 06:06:35 PM
I've already started decorating for Halloween!  (Hope I'm not the only one!!)  I work in a tattoo shop (I'm a body piercer) so I started decorating the shop, since I assume that's more acceptable than decorating my house in September!  I'll probably start on my house soon, since I'm inspired now!!

I know papel picado is made with tissue paper, but tissue paper and I don't get along, so I used some random scrapbooking papers.  I got the patterns from The Toymaker (love this website!) http://www.thetoymaker.com/Holidays/Halloween/1HALLOWEEN.html

The whole banner (the front window of the shop):

The kitty:

The skull:

The owl:

And the pumpkin!:

3  Wedding Scrapbook Box ((Image Heavy!)) in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by heatherface on: July 06, 2009 08:59:03 AM
This is my first post, so please, be gentle! Grin

I made this super cute scrapbook box for my husband for our 1 year anniversary.  I made it out of a box from a jewelry kit and scrapbooking supplies.  This is the front:

This is the back, with a snippet from our wedding invitation:

This is the box with all the cards laid out:

The first card, front side is my family:

The back side is his family:

The card with pictures of our friends:

"Waiting Patiently," because our officiant was an hour late!:

The ceremony:

And the reception:

The happy couple (that's us!):

What do you think?
