'K, for those not in the know, BBC does a 'red nose day' each year, using comedy to raise charity money. Getting in the mood for this, I did a YouTube search and ended up with the one for 2009 from Sara Jane Adventures. My favorite K9 may have just changed to the one at 5:07. ==>

Does it really count as a tiny thing if it is Hermione's endless bag? (The pic makes it look flat, but it is shaped correctly.)

I love it! In the bag, bananaleg put a Hallows pin and my own Mad Eye (pin). She also included a wonderful cup cozy. The pics don't do it justice. The material is a deep plum and the buttons have sparkly edges. Close up links below.

My net was out so long, I'm playing catch-up. What I've seen so far looks fab-u-lus, though.

My newest bookmarks. Kimchery sent a magnetic pirate monkey protecting his barrel of rum and a tatted one. The thread of the tatted one has shiney bits in it that didn't come out in the picture. The card also came from her. sailorgirlbonk sent me the Gryffindor 'Scarf'.

Finally, pics. Sorry, they are phone ones, I can't find the real camera, lol.

Crafty Butterfly sent the green one embroidered with "Live long and prosper" in gold. The back has some lovely blue and green Celtic-knot-ish print fabric.

A2JC4Life sent one with the original Enterprise over a pirate ship, which is magnetic. (Your hubby had perfect inspiration.) She also sent one with a couple quotes she likes. The front says "Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it." - P. J. O'Rourke. The quote on the back is "A man is known by the books he reads." - Emerson.

<= You will notice my quirky sense of ironic humor in the action shot with the quotes in a potboiler Grin .

Edit: change back to thumbnail. It all fit on without the scroll bar when I was composing it.

I asked maximumRABBIT if I could copy her "drink me" bottle for a bookmark swap. It was the perfect size and proportion for my ribbon. My partner has received, so I can post pics.
<- the bottle itself - I did not realize what a beast metallic thread was to work with, but it came out just as I wanted it, so was worth the work. The angle makes it hard to read 'drink' but it looks right on the bookmark itself.

For time reasons I went lazy on the 'cake' when I found a ribbon full of cup cakes. In the original version of the book, the cake is in a glass box, hence the silver thread around it.
Thanks, maximumRABBIT - your pattern was just what I needed.

*Extra Spoiler* We had a movie night for my church's youth and some of the sponsors, myself included, got to talking about how in high school we would cut the image from a box of movie candy and write on the back what we saw to create a bookmark. Many of the girls, and some of us adults, did the same that night. As an extra, my partners (and I) got some Snow Cap bookmarking goodness to have a sweet read.

(The pic being on a white background, it is hard to see that it is closely cut around the logo.)
