Hi Everyone,

I made an amigurumi egg. But it does not really look like an egg. Well, almost.
Must be the gauge, my tension or something. What did i do wrong ?

I have a french book on crochet and show different kinds of stich. It ressembles the "écailles serrées". Sorry for my french. But it would mean knotted scales inb english or something like that.

208  CANADA / Quebec / Re: Japanese Fabrics in montreal? on: July 01, 2009 07:21:53 PM
THe only way you will get this kind of fabrics is to go in china town. I think there are some shops that sells asian prints fabrics.

The only store that sells nice japanese print fabrics is Madeleine Soie et Laine on St-hubert. 6394 St-Hubert

But the best japanese fabrics i've seen is on etsy.com.

Hope this helps

Hi ,

I go to Textiles Debouk, 7254 ST-Hubert. It is big and i like it. I always find something great there.

There is also l'Effiloché, they sell mostly yarns but they have some great printed fabrics too.  6252 ST-Hubert, near métro beaubien

There is also Madeleine Soie et laine, 6394 ST-Hubert. Also near métro beaubien. She has great japanese print fabric and beautiful fake fur.

Hope this helps.

Hi Everyone,

I live in montreal and i speak both languages. But my first language is french.

I think the store L'Effiloché on St-Hubert was not mentionned. They sell any kinds yarns for crochet and knitting and they also give classes. They speak both languages.
