1  Art on a Stick: Impromtu Public Art in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by pollypocket451 on: July 27, 2009 11:48:16 AM
So outside my dorm, there was a huge log that maintenance had cut down from a tree after a storm. Despite it being finals time, I spent a few hours beautifying it for the other residents and the ladies who clean our building.

The paintings were rather inspired by the book Abarat.

Unfortunately, it was removed a few days later. But it was quite nice when it lasted.

2  Tilly and the Wall inspired hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by pollypocket451 on: July 27, 2009 11:35:17 AM
Tilly and the Wall is one of my best friend's favorite bands. After he begged me forever to knit him something, I finally made him this snuggly hat.

Final hat, plus cute dog action:

suggestions? critiques? give it to me!

Update: I forgot to mention that it is knit in 1x1 ribbing, which makes it extra warm, and since it stretches, I wasn't too picky how big I made the hat... figured it would fit! I dislike figuring out gauge.
