1  Winter Hedgehog in Needlework: Completed Projects by simonk on: January 14, 2010 01:08:49 PM
Hi everyone hope you all had a good Christmas and new year.
Well after my last project i fancied something small, cute (no not me) and easy to do over the holiday period to help me unwind, i have had a few small designs that i found on the web ready and waiting for me to do so getting started on this little fella was a pleasure, real easy to do Smiley
I started it on Christmas eve and finally finished it today it is a simple design but i have not been well so it took longer than i had hoped but it is done and i am very happy with the results, i found the design well a friend found it while i was looking for something else he he over at www.the-chart-shop.com they have loads of free and fun patterns will be getting a few from them later. I actually have made this for the friend i made my last project for both of us adore hedgehogs, i really hope she likes it.

Sorry it is not a great pic, it has yet to be cleaned and framed before i send it off Smiley

2  Home is? in Needlework: Completed Projects by simonk on: December 18, 2009 03:08:05 PM
Well after many months it is finally done, i promised to make this for a very close friend for Christmas way back in April this year but i did not get started until later in July, how we came up with the idea is kinda personal but a happy moment Smiley
Like i said i started in July after several attempts to design my own text i came across a really good alphabet in issue 151 of The World of Cross Stitch magazine, it is a lovely set so i decided to run with it and i must say that i am really happy with how it went even if it is a bit messy, i followed no real plan other than the letter patterns, i just sat and sewed when i could.
Anyhow hope you all like it, this is really only my second fully completed project and i am trying to improve and learn more Smiley

Sorry about the picture quality, i am tired after racing to finish it in time.

3  My First Project in Needlework: Completed Projects by simonk on: August 29, 2009 02:45:13 PM
Thought i would introduce myself with my first projects, well my name is Simon 31 and i am from the UK, i have not done any cross stitch since i was a kid but i had often talked about starting again, well last Easter my best friend surprised me with a kit for me to do while she knitted on my holiday with her, i started these on Easter 2009 and finished the last one on the 29th June, i am not fast and i was not able to dedicate as much time to them as i might have but i loved every second of making these and i already have another project in my lap as we speak Cheesy

Sorry about the quality of the pics hehe

The kit is a Coats one Kycklingar & Agg "chicken with egg"
