1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: 6 Panel Long Skirt with Pockets Tutorial. LOTS OF PICS on: July 02, 2014 01:26:45 AM
This is fantastic! I had JUST (in the last two minutes) decided to make myself a similar skirt, and was designing the pattern in my head as I browsed craftster and came across this! It looks like a great skirt, and super easy, so thank you for sharing, because I'll be using this instead of designing my own now Smiley and I LOVE how yours turned out, it looks lovely on you!

Thank you so much everyone!

lizefd, I bought the fabric at Spotlight (Australia) and I think it just came from their Spots and Stripes range (I think that's what it's called!) If I had more of it I would offer to send some to you, but I've only got scraps (although feel free to message me if you'd like those!)

My oldest sister loves books! A while ago she found a skirt online that was made of book fabric, and decided she had to have one, so I made her one for Christmas! I used Alexander Henry Somerville Study fabric, and this amazing tutorial http://www.oneaviandaemon.com/hemless-a-line-skirt/

She loves the skirt, and it fits her perfectly. She wore it to a "What I Want To Be When I Grow Up" party (she went as a librarian)

And I embroidered a "sexy librarian" for it too, using a pattern from http://sublimestitching.com/ (this was the first time I'd done any embroidery)

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any feedback! Smiley

I bought this fabric a little while ago, because I was so in love with it. I was planning to just make a super simple, around the house sort of dress with it- you know, cut off a tank top and sew the skirt on? But I decided the fabric was too good for that, and came up with this instead. I finished it just in time to wear to my best friend's engagement party!

(I tried to take a photo at the party, but it was REALLY windy, so it turned out a bit dodgy. I'll show you anyway, so you can see my orange shoes and handbag! Cheesy)

I drafted the pattern myself and it's (almost) all french seamed. I'm super proud of it and it fits REALLY well (I'm trying to lose weight, so next time I wear it I might be able to breathe!)
Oh! And it has a bright green zipper in the back! (I don't have a photo of the back when it's on, but this is the zip)

Thanks for looking, and I appreciate any feedback! Smiley
