so i finally figured out that craftster photo uploader dislikes my camera- i've run around the house rounding up all of the items that pinkmichk sent me, and have tried to photograph their awesomeness using only my iphone... i haven't really been able to do them justice, but here they are anyway!

here is everything all together- the bag and stitch necklace you have already seen (thanks pinkmichk!)

...but here are the rose button ring- and one of the beauty and the beast-inspired stitch markers  Tongue - poorly modelled by me!

they were kind of hard to photograph individually, but i hope these give you some idea of their detail-

i love the combination of red and pink beads  Smiley

hehe, beast is going "get this girlyness away from me!!"  Cheesy

here's a picture of the stitch shrinky plastic necklace with matching bead earrings- notice the tiny stars that act as holes for the chain to connect to  Smiley ? ukulele-stitch is my very most favourite-est Cheesy and pinkmichk has some seriously good drawing skills, i've never been able to accurately copy disney characters

finally, a close-up of the beautiful embroidery from the bag- this is one skill which i really, really have to learn! where did you get the pattern, pinkmichk? did you draw/sew it freehand?

thanks once more, everyone, and especially pinkmichk!! your package is coming along really well (i've decided to drastically alter the way i'm going to display one item, so it might take a little more time...but i really think it's going to be worth it!) promise to keep both you and our organiser updated  Smiley i can't wait to see the rest of the gallery, i'm loving the paper minnie necklace and coveting the tinkerbell desk stuff!

I've finally managed to get the photos of the items i sent to my parter uploaded on craftster  Grin

here are a couple of shots of the evil campsite-dwelling bunny which i sent, along with a couple of fairy mushrooms and his slightly cuter mini companion- i think missdolly named them ernie and mildred  Cheesy you can see the back of mildred's spotty ears in the second one, she was crafted just a couple of hours before i had to get to the post office, as i had a tiny scrap of bunny-coloured yarn left and didn't want to waste it  Smiley

this is ernie's head in progress- the gaping maw of a mouth looks seriously terrifying! the finished mouth is very poseable, so he can look like either munsch's scream painting, or (for us brits!) wallace from wallace and gromit  Cheesy

and here i am badly modelling the wristwarmers missdolly requested to take on her camping trips- they started off almost elbow-length, but i decided to scrunch them up with some elastic and sew back a cuff so they'll keep her fingers warm  Smiley there are tiny hummingbird buttons sewn just next to the thumb holes on the palm side, kind of in keeping with the outdoorsy theme i ran with

lastly, everything boxed up and ready to send- well, almost, there was some protest from ernie! you can just about see the tiny pink and blue tupperware boxes i filled up with mini marshmallows (for toasting, or appeasing angry bunnies!) and the lunchbag patterned with deer and mushrooms which i found in paperchase, i think, ages and ages ago- i figured missdolly would make better use of it  Smiley

thanks again everyone- this has been an awesome swap, bring on round 2!! sorry you've had to wait so long for pictures!

So, it seems craftster photo hosting dislikes my camera  Angry I've managed to round up all the items that sazzra made for me from their new homes all around my student house, and have attempted to photograph them in all their magnificence using only my iphone  Undecided sigh, let's move onwards, and see what a talented organiser we all have!

first up, there's a sparkly cut out eric on a black sparkly card, with a nice message from sazzra inside (his clothes are all interchangeable like a paper doll, but i've currently got him wearing my favourite combination- furry boots, hair foils, and pink leggings Grin) ;a machine embroidered vampire smile, which has a tag on the top so i can hang/stick it to something once i find it a suitable home...and SOAP ON A ROPE!!

why soap on a rope, you ask? well, sazzra included an embroidered fangtasia washcloth- for cleaning up blood, presumably, or washing sweat off the dancers (does eric ever sweat  Tongue?)

there was also a matching fangtasia dishcloth (such gorgeous embroidery!) and a reddish-pink wine glass/goblet with runes around the base- according to sazzra, they read 'Property of Eric Northman'...let's hope he comes back to claim it  Grin
(sigh, i seem to have cut the top off of the picture! i'm really not having much luck with craftster/the cameras today!!)

next, i opened this absolutely stunning canvas  Shocked eric is all iridescent! my camera really cannot do this justice  Angry it's currently hanging off my bookshelf over my bed- it's ok, the boyfriend isn't going to be coming over for a while  Grin

incredibly difficult to photograph is the resin pendant i begged for once i found out sazzra had mad skills in the resin area  Smiley i was packaged in a box labelled 'preserved V' and is tear (or blood) drop shape, bright red in colour with what i think is a layer of black lace just under the surface. it hasn't been taken off all weekend  Grin

and last but by no means least, another item which hasn't left my side since i received him...my very own plushie godric, complete with tattoos, furry boots, fuzzy brown dreads, and glow in the dark fangs!!!

check out those tattoos, and historically-accurate pants  Grin

here he is with his favourite child- he spends most of his time sat on my sewing machine, however, guilting me into crafting away for sazzra, who is still yet to receive my package due to my own lateness  Cry thank you so much, sazzra, everything is just amazing and i'm sure everyone else will agree!!

one parting shot- you will notice paper eric is properly dressed this time  Grin
and those peanut butter cups were yummy, sazzra- i received on, hmm, wednesday? and i think there are about 3 left!

missdolly is too kind  Cheesy her sewist skills easily better my yarnie ones- here are the pictures i've been waiting to post for far too long!

first off, y'all are going to have to forgive my crumpled bedsheets- i'm a student, we don't live in very pristine conditions  Cheesy

here is all the glorious loot- missdolly went completely above and beyond, i thought we were only swapping one small and one medium, missy  Grin

crafted and non-crafted extras first- a pair of socks with sweet little strawberries on them (you'll see their matching pair in just a second  Cheesy) a mirror with suction pads on the back which totally appeals to my goth-loli side, and some heart-shaped magnets and cherry airfreshner which satisfy my rockabilly-ness  Smiley plus some sweets, because sweets are always good!

SOCK MONKEYS!!
well, one appears to be a monkey Cheesy the other is extremely fluffy and has tiny paws instead of spindly arms, and a long thick tail (which hasn't made it into the photo). everyone in my house absolutely loves these guys and i've been commanded to give them all a crash course in hand sewing so they can make some  Cheesy my mum, who's seen the strawberry monkey (i couldn't resist making him my travelling partner on a weekend home  Tongue) is also smitten and plans to buy a book and make some for her great-niece and nephew for their birthdays- so i think you're a success, missdolly!

things to keep my crafting tidy, which i am forever in need of! from the top down, a zippered pouch, a bag clip, and a crochet hook roll- the photo is upside down really, but i wanted to show the fabric from this angle because it took me AGES to work out that it's a thimble in the design on the pouch, NOT a dalek (who would be a little out of place amongst the buttons, zips, tape measures, and pretty flowers!)

here's a picture of the crochet hook roll all unrolled, so you can see the seriously stylish fabric- i've never seen fabric like it, it makes me feel like i'm a fashion design student in the 60's or 70's  Cheesy

now, i've had to get my wardrobe and top hat to model my apron  Cheesy i promise i'll get an action shot the next time my housemates and i get the chance to have what we call 50's housewife day and bake loads of cupcakes- or the next time one of my gamer friends needs a birthday cake (last time we made a gingerbread church, defended by gummy bears from the invasion of zombie jelly babies, and we've had a request for an aztec temple, complete with priests and human sacrifices- i should really post the pictures here on craftster!). the fabric's a little hard to see from my rubbish photo, but it's covered in cutlery, and the cutlery's covered in little swirls and flowers  Smiley the black lace makes it just un-girly enough Smiley it's perfect- as is everything else, thank you SO MUCH missdolly- and apologies again for making everyone wait this long for pictures!

edit- oops, forgot the obligatory cat pic! this is my beautiful boy ollie chilling with his new long-tailed friend (who really needs a proper name!)

here are a few more pictures of the nessie plushie that i sent to smmarrt, just before she found her way into the box and made it across the water Smiley i tried to make her look a bit alien and spooky, but if people think she's cute, then that's cool too Grin

here goes my second attempt at posting pictures...apologie s for the low quality, i've only got my phone to hand at my parent's house

here's the box (that's medium flat rate sized for the americans, just to give an idea of scale) absolutely stuffed full with candy  Grin along with the beautiful card of the San Francisco skyline I received with a note from Smmarrt- she reckons that her home is visible somewhere on there, all I can say is Wow! I'd love to live in such a stunning place.

peanut butter easter candy and bunny-shaped peeps! there are enough in there for 4 rounds of microwave jousting, i'll post pictures of that once me and my friends have attempted it!

gourmet jelly beans (two packets!) and a pack of gourmet lip balm i requested. having tried some of the jelly beans, i have to say i'm not keen on the ones which seem to taste like gaviscon liquid and lemsip- UK folks will know what i'm talking about!- but the popcorn and apple and cinnamon bun flavours are delicious Smiley

japanese chocolate and a super-cute notebook with what appears to be a hamster of irish decent  Cheesy

top on the list in my questionnaire, MARSHMALLOW FLUFF! I can't decide yet whether i'm going to use this in baking, or just eat it straight from the jar  Grin and a savoury surprise which i hadn't requested, although i had heard of them- goldfish crackers, famous for the package which declares them to be 'made with smiles'  Cheesy

there was also a pair of pink chopsticks, and a bag of peanut butter squares which i forgot to photograph, darn!

crafted items! i'm sorry again for the rubbish photos, i take them in such a hurry as i tear everything out of the box Tongue i'll try to get an action shot soon of my fabulously hand-stencilled 'Gleek' tshirt ,which for those who don't know is the name given to a big fan of the tv show Glee...which i am  Grin there were also stencilled 'gleek' notecards in loads of lovely colours, sue sylvester coasters (see picture below) and a bought keyring with sue and mr schue <3

as i work in the kid's section of my local library in the summer, i'd asked Smmarrt to send me some flyers etc that i can take in to show the staff, who are always interested to see what i'm making and what i've received in swaps. Smmarrt found me a 'friends of the San Francisco library' tote bag (which is going to come in handy when i need to take all that candy back to university!) as well as loads of ephemera- i can't believe how much cool stuff goes on in this library! all part of living in a big city, i guess, but i'm really jealous! here's a picture of the local guide as well as my favourite bookmark (one of many!) which has a playing card theme.

Thank you so much, Smmarrt, you've been an awesome partner and I hope my package reaches you soon! Thanks also to our wonderful organiser  Cheesy I can't wait to see what else appears in the gallery
