1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: my stylishly snuggly jersey jacket on: December 29, 2009 06:02:31 PM
This looks so well made. I can't believe you didn't use a pattern! How's the lining in terms of static? I plan on sewing a winter coat (using a pattern, though:)) and I'm thinking of using flannel lining, but I hate static and worry that the flannel will make it worse. Lovely coat! Glad it's warm!

This is so cute! I definitely plan on making something similar for myself!  Haha.
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Unconfirmed Address on Paypal? on: November 29, 2009 05:06:05 PM
I just made my first sale on my etsy shop, which makes me so happy Smiley

Anyways, I messaged the buyer and told her that I would be sending the item tomorrow (Monday) morning. After looking at the PayPal notification closer, I saw that it was an unconfirmed address and sent the buyer a new message (to both her etsy account and email address) saying that she needed to confirm the address, but I was still planning to send the package tomorrow morning. Dumb of me!

After doing some more research/ weighing the risks, I read some horror stories and immediately emailed/ convo'ed her back basically saying "Please disregard the previouis message/email. For both of our safety/comfort, I will not be sending the item until the address is confirmed. Sorry for the confusion." The buyer also has no feedback, but neither do I! She also only joined etsy the same day she bought the item. Is that something to be suspicious of? I may just be being wicked paranoid.

I haven't heard from her at all, the first message was sent Saturday morning, and the last two just now.

So was this totally unprofessional and have I blown any chances of decent feedback? Or am I wise in being careful. I would just hate my first sale to be a hoax/ end in negative feedback for having conflicting messages.

Thanks for any advice!

I heard back from her and it is her address! Should I be worried about something like this in the future though?

You are going to be the most fashionable person at that hospital with the cute bags you're making!
Great story behind the buckle, and best of luck!

Thank you for all the kind words!

How does the felt hold up without a lining?

The felt holds up fine without lining, since felt doesn't fray. That's why I like working with it a lot. Smiley

Tute please? Roll Eyes

Unfortunately I will not be able to put up a tutorial as I am at college now, but if you have any specific questions on the construction, I would be happy to answer them.

Thank you!

How lovely! I'm sure she will love showing this off to her fellow ballerinas Smiley

Similar to the Taco Pouch, but a watermelon! Yum!
It's felt and unlined and has a zipper. About 8in x 5 in.
Sorry about the picture quality, I usually borrow my brother's digital camera, but since going to school, all I have is a cheap, $30 digital camera. I honestly didn't think there'd be that big of a difference. Oh well. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking! Comments/ criticism welcome.

I love the robot fabric! And the lining is really cute and goes well with it, too. Looks so professional!
