My friend loves Nightwing from the Batman series of DC comics so I decided to make this for her. The pattern was done freehand.

I don't know about the X-Men but I've made ninja turtle, hello kitty, and star trek minimalist felt things.

I've been making barrettes for my friends as testers for a store I may eventually open. So I made my Star Trek loving friend a Spock barrette.

I drew the face on a piece of cardboard for a pattern but ended up free handing the ear and hair and used science blue for the barrette's covering.

I am really happy with the way the minimalist features turned out. It ended up having enough detail to be recognizable but not too much as to overcrowd the tiny barrette.

I really really love Dia De Los Muertos art as well as Magneto from the X-Men so I decided to combine the two for this hair barrette.

In the past I have made more detailed embroidered sugar skull felt pins, but wanted a more simple design for this because the colors were so bright and I didn't want it to be too busy looking.

I made a hat with a stormtrooper face on it, but I like your idea better to actually make the hat the helmet!

Ooh. I  like it. I like that it has more of the details of the helmet than mine does.
