1  SKELETON LEGGINGS (that actually line up and fit nice!{with tute!}) in Halloween Costumes by anrondeau on: September 05, 2012 11:53:34 AM

It's been a real long time since I've been here guys and I'm excited to be back! So here we go:

I find that store bought skeleton leggings never line up right, so I decided to make my own.

Materials:  a god book, pre-washed leggings, trash bags, chalk, reference photos, lower body, and some kind of bleach pen (I used one for cleaning tiles that contained bleach) or thickened bleach and paintbrush.

step one-put on pre-washed leggings

step two-cut long wide strips of trash bags

three-stuff leggings with trash bag strips, to cover entire front of leg (to protect skin from bleach)

four and five-with chalk and reference photos sketch a rough outline of the skeleton on your leggings, be sure to line the bones up to yourself by feeling your hipbones, shins, knees ect.

six-get ready for bleach!

seven-sit on an opened trash bag, and use the bleach to complete your designs by following your outline and adding a little detail (crosshatching, shading, splatters, whatever you want!) sit still and read a good book for a few minutes until the bleach soaks in and the designs begin to show (the longer you wait the whiter the design will be)

eight-rinse your leggings (you can take them off and rinse if you want, I just jumped in the shower with them on)

nine-wash in hot water, neutralize the bleach whatever way you predfer (i like hydrogen peroxide) and dry (gentle cycles in machines, hand wash is fine too)

ten-flaunt it sexybones!

2  Re: Post your CRAFTY Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by anrondeau on: July 06, 2010 07:57:46 AM

my crafty tattoo! it's based off of Tim Burton's "voodoo girl" but i added the needle and thread with an ampersand (&) to make it litterally a needle AND thread! i nearly killed my tattoo artist in the process cause i made him color outside the lines on the pins, i know its super blurry and the colors arent bright, but taking a picture with a cameraphone of my sternum proved difficult!!

4  silent hill nurse in Halloween Costumes by anrondeau on: January 21, 2010 08:33:13 PM
so I made the most badass costume I've ever worn. I don't have any construction pictures, but I will tell you what i used, the lab coat is an actual lab coat from a brain surgeon aka my friends gradfather, so it had real gross stuff on it when I got it which thrilled me to the core! then just fitted it and made is really skankily short hehe, and the mask is made from one of those super creepy clear masks with the makeup on them, then I just cut the nose and eyes HUGE so i could make it flatter and more breatheable, I layed gauze over it then paper mache'd the top. the hat is cardboard and bits left over from the bottom of the labcoat, and hotglued onto the mask, then everything was coffee stained and kool-aided. I smelled WONDERFUL!

that one is to show creepy-factor, I actually made my brother in law (a grown man) scream! I was super proud of that. and one more to show skanky-ness/ the rest of the costume
thanks for looking!

5  Monsieur Eiffel Toweah in Winter Holidays by anrondeau on: January 01, 2010 12:58:09 PM
so at my work we have this HUGE gingerbread event, where people come in and make gingerbread houses and we provide all the supplies, so being the crazy employee i had to do something ridiculous and fun. so i made the gingerbread Eiffel tower, but he isn't actually made of gingerbread, we cheat and use Gram crackers Undecided but here he is Monsieur Eiffel Toweah:

he's all hot glued together, and standing on my origami folding board all frosted over ha ha, the moustache and beret are made of laffy taffy.

sadly, he has passed on, my beagle Jed ate all of him save for the glue and taffy.   Angry  I cried. but I'm over it now, i have pictures to prove the awesomeness, thanks for looking!
