You don't mention it, but we were actually at the Can't Stop the Serenity screening when we were knitting.  That's got to make it extra Browncoaty!

I just got back from my screening in Charlotte, and it was indeed AWESOME.  There were several in Jayne hats there, plus my donation, plus a knitter whom I helped with picking up stitches for earflaps.  Great time for knitters, great time for Browncoats in general!  I can't wait for next year!

Thanks!  I never did wind up doing this - knitted a nice chemo cap instead - but she's made a full recovery, I'm happy to say.

Question:  Would there be support for me moving this thread to the knitalong board?  It would surely seem to qualify, by common law anyway.  (It's like a common law marriage.  If a post lives with a certain number of other posts for a certain amount of time, they become knitalonged...)

I dunno, I'm a little leery - people seem to be finding it pretty well where it is.  Is it an administrative requirement?

A lot of people have made this their first hat.  Jayne's downright inspirational.  Over the holidays, I had a gentleman in England order a kit so he could make one for his wife - and he'd never knitted anything at all before.  A man who'll learn to knit just so he can make his wife a Jayne hat?  That's a keeper, for sure.
