1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Recycled Accessory\Home Decor Swap? on: November 06, 2011 02:18:01 PM
One of my very favorite things about crafting is making something out of things that were meant to be thrown away, so I LOVE crafts that recycle.  Would anyone be up for a swap where we would exchange accessories and home decor made of recycled materials?

I would ask in the questionnaire for everyone's favorite recycled materials and ask what things they'd like to receive to pair everyone up.

At the very least, we'd exchange 1 medium item (2 + hours of crafting).  I'd also probably add in 1 small item as well.
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Regular Show or Cheeseburger Swap on: October 20, 2011 09:10:49 PM
I have two swaps I'm thinking about....would anyone be interested in a swap for the cartoon "Regular Show" or would anyone be interested in a swap where we swap cheeseburger items (cheeseburgers only Smiley)?  I'll set these up if I see some interest :)Let me know which one or both you'd be interested in.
3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer 1025 on: August 04, 2009 01:22:39 PM
I just bought this machine from Goodwill to replace my 5 year old Singer whose tension control and gears broke.  I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where I can find a manual for this machine online.  I did a Google search, and all I can find are places where I'd have to pay $15 for the manual (including the Singer website).  I just need to know how to arrange the thread for the bobbin winder.  Any help is appreciated!
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Sealants\Protective Coating on: August 02, 2009 12:58:07 PM
Does polymer clay require any kind of sealants or protective coating after it's baked?  I've been wondering this for a while, and I wanted to know so I can make my sure that my charms have the most protection they need.  If you do need a sealant, would you use Modge Podge, clear nail polish, or an acrylic spray-on sealer?
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Would anyone be interested in seeing these types of things on Etsy? on: July 22, 2009 01:25:48 PM
My sewing machine is down for the time being.  I'm extremely upset as sewn things are the main focus of my shop.  I was thinking for the time being of expanding my offerings, so to say, to papier mache bowls and sculptures, polymer clay jewelry, some crafts involving books (cd wallets, clutches, picture frames), and some more jewelry involving recycled materials.  I'm also thinking of making various bowls and scultures using flour/salt dough.   I don't want to just stop doing anything with my shop while I wait for my sewing machine problem to get fixed (if I would sell a wallet, I would actually probably just go buy another machine), and I'm still disappointed about the whole thing, so I'm not 100% sure of offering these things yet, just wanted to see the popular opinion if they'd sell.
