21  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Troll on: December 01, 2009 05:27:23 PM
I am back... during my absence, I made a few things.  I'll post them over the weeks.

This is the troll I started with.

22  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / BABY Troll on: December 01, 2009 10:01:35 AM
I've been away for a while and have been making a few figurines.

Here is a baby troll I made.

Enjoy!

23  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Gold Themed Robot on: August 09, 2009 10:15:31 PM
I tried as far as possible to use mostly gold parts... for the head i used translucent clay.

the only problem with translucent clay is, if you molded a face, the features dont show so well.

24  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Swamp Thing Robot on: August 02, 2009 10:54:39 PM
I've been toying with this in my head for a while and finally I put it all together.  A bit of a swamp thing, "predator", medusa hair, and some gorrilla... this is what resulted.

sorry about the shaky photos
25  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / clay bunnies on: July 24, 2009 08:47:50 AM
i yielded to making bunnies out of clay instead of robots.

26  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Halloween is coming! Jack O Latern Robot on: July 17, 2009 09:21:20 AM
I made the head out of clay.  I'll be tossing ideas about how to "robotize" some of the halloween icons.

27  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / ok for a change... here's a gnome and a robot on: June 30, 2009 08:08:40 PM
this guy is about 2 inches tall including his pointy hat.

i didnt use a wire frame when i made it.  it was too small for one anyway.  it was quite painstaking... and i have zero experience with sculpting fabric... so you dont see any crease lines at all hahaha it looks like he's wearing a tight body leotard.

anyway, since i've posted one of my clay figures, now i can post my wire robots hahaha

i'll save the other wire robots for later.
28  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / another robot on: June 29, 2009 04:08:56 PM
ok first up... i have to justify this post here... i've been making clay robots and partial clay robots and then finally i decided to try out one without the solace of clay (you can see how it evolved)

this one was my first departure from the medium (clay) that i grew comfortable working with.

i would typically use clay to buff up the limbs or add to the body or form part of the head.  i havent given up on using clay, just a deviation is all... actually i deviated about 6 times haha... so if the moderater is cool with it, i'll post the others here in the next few days.
29  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / painted figurine on: June 29, 2009 03:50:45 PM
This one used to be my favorite piece... I dont quite like the colors now... I'm not sure if i can paint over the gloss finish i used on it.
