2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / IK Spring 2005 Bi-Color Brioche yarn help?? on: August 25, 2005 07:57:42 PM
so, i am desperate to make the bi-color brioche sweater and being gauge-challenged at the moment (i.e. not having taught myself about it yet -- i know i know i should!!) i wanted to use the recommended yarn, but i can't find it anywhere.

the yarn is scheepjeswol donna and it says it's distributed by jca. i've looked online everywhere and i can't find it. and i don't know how to figure out what would work as a substitute. (if i knew how to speak gauge would i know this already? something tells me yes...)

any suggestions on either finding the yarn or replacing it?

thanks!!

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / styrofoam craft ball substitute??? on: December 18, 2004 08:56:43 AM
does anyone know of any alternative to styrofoam craft balls that would be biodegradable? i have this idea for wedding decorations that would involve a lot of them, and i just can't do it if i know they can't be recycled. i know that there are companies that make biodegradable packing peanuts, but i can't find anything spherical. i'm thinking like tennis-ball size.

suggestions?? thanks!!
