Ok... So I tried to knit it and I finished it. And each half doesn't match the way it should.

What did I do? Did anybody else have this problem?

(currently I am knitting a new half and then I will be sewing two different pieces together.)

hm, i've never had a problem with that. do you think you could take a picture of the very top?

the glass head was at pier1, knit it yourself; it's fun [!], bleach & sfx atomic pink.

i love that hat, i've been meaning to make it for ages but havent had time yet. anyway, the author of the pattern made a few changes to the pattern, like making it more snug, etc. which can be found here: http://flor.trix.net/amelia1.htm

How was this hat to knit?

it's not hard at all, just extremely tedious the first time around. i suggest using stitch markers!
this is the second time i've made it & it was a breeze.
