Love 'em!

What are you using to get the texture on the ice cream cones!?  I can't find ANYTHING I like to make that pattern.  So basically, my cones look like sandpaper. ha!

She is perfection to be sure, but I have to say.... I just love her little feet.  My boys are growing so fast, they're losing that "baby feet" in their tooties.  My six year old has the feet of a pre-teen and the three year old's dogs aren't far behind.  I miss playing that "OOOhhh, you gots STINKY FEET!" game with their chubby lil' toes so I have to say.... as a Mommy? Yeah, the feet are just perfection for that toddler sweetness.

Gave her a "THIS ROCKS!" and I don't do that very often!!!

I found these wonderful glass cubes that enabled me to make some ornaments I had in my head for a while now.  I'm really pleased with the final result:

This is exactly what I'd hoped would happen....

I made a half dozen penguins and four snowmen on ice.

I'd done these little bears holding snowflake beads, but the beads melted in the oven. Thankfully I was able to pry the melted ones out of their hands and replace them with ones still in tact.

And, I'd promised my son that the next Goblin Guy I made would have a Mohawk.

He's got a tattoo, too!

That's all I've been up to over the past few weeks.

Thanks for lookin'!!

Comments and pointers always welcome!

LOVE the pebbles, too!
I like the whole piece, but I understand where you're coming from on not liking it when its done.  I have that from time to time.

I think you did a wonderful job with the fish, too!!

Can you pin point what it is, exactly that you don't like?  I'm not seeing anything on it that I don't like!! Grin

LOVE these!

I could never make them though.  I KNOW my five year old would try to chomp on one! ha!

Great job!

I usually hang in the poly clay area only, but I kept seeing this picture on the new projects on the home page and HAD to click out of curiosity.

HOW COOL are THESE!!??

You did a FANTASTIC job at making these look like burgers!!!

Thanks guys! I think by "bad color" I should've meant in the photography.  Holding him in your hands, it's all brown. No weird red in it at all. lol
Still, it was fun to make.
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Grurple and Mud Pie. on: July 13, 2009 10:57:02 AM
I think the coloring of Mud Pie is 'off' a bit.  I posted these on my Facebook page, and a friend's son thought the mud was blood and the dirt was his brains blasted out the back of his head. Not at ALL what I was intending but.....

Here they are!!

Mud Pie:

And Grurple, the Goblin Guard.  He's not a happy fellow.....

Some close-up shots.  I dig how the rope and robe came out....

Pointers and comments welcome!

Thanks for lookin'!
