11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: 10 Ways to Economize your Sewing on: February 13, 2013 10:59:34 AM
Another good tip is to use wrapping paper to make patterns or trace them, it is cheap right after xmas and plenty big; you can even code them by paper pattern
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Turning denim brown? on: October 30, 2012 01:36:01 PM
Is there any way to turn blue jeans brown? I want brown pants for a steampunk look, and planned on altering some old jeans but blue jean is not steampunk. I've seen where bleach might do the trick, but I have no clue how to do it
13  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ouch my bum! - What do you all sit on to sew? on: October 17, 2012 10:31:30 AM
I sit on the floor, and hit the pedal with my knee; with the sewing machine on my mini ironing board so I don't slouch too much.

The exact same thing happened to me, and I was cutting away from my body. I just keep catching fingers,
16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Have you ever had those stupid crafty moments? -_- on: May 19, 2012 03:51:23 PM
Carving a stamp, slip and make a little cut in thumb. Bandage and continue. Repeat three more times. Decide to take a break. This just happened to me. At least i have cool band-aids
17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Crafty But Stupid: YOUR CRAFT RELATED INJURIES HERE! on: May 19, 2012 03:31:38 PM
I just learned stamp carving hurts. I have four band-aids on, and I'm not even done.
18  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What can I do with...condoms? on: February 26, 2012 10:14:12 AM
I love these Ideas! I am allergic to latex so every time I get given free ones I have no use for them! And as a college student who get her birth control at PP I get handed lots.
19  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What do i do wit these on: February 26, 2012 09:53:56 AM
You can make them into mini tin can stilts, or hot glue fabric/rhinestones to them and keep stuff in them.
20  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: What are your bad sewing habits? on: November 07, 2010 05:18:17 PM
1: I hold pins and needles in my mouth
2: Pinning in multiple directions
3: Using markers, whatever is around, to mark fabric
4: Using 'Tacky Glue' instead of pins for holding fabric together
5: Commandeering the entire 2nd floor lobby to sew in, I'm at college and have no space in my room
6: Not even owning a seam-ripper
7: Getting bitchy whenever someone touches my scissors
