It's Friday! I have a couple of yarns to share this week.


8oz, Grape Jelly Louet Northern Lights plied with white Corriedale. Spun in the car a few weeks ago (Yes my Lendrum fit in the front seat of my Malibu in working order! WooHoo!!!)


4oz Organic Merino from the Spunky Eclecti club a few months back, Navajo plied.


2 fraternal twin skeins from batts by Liz of Hobbledehoy, 1 is a single and 1 is plied with a commercial bamboo.

I guess I will start by saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I'm hoping to see some Halloween inspired yarns, unfortunately I myself don't have any. I have been racking up yarns over the last few weeks, here are some of my favorites! No Yardages, weights, or names yet so I will just number them. Sorry.

1. From a great batt by YarnZombie on etsy. LOVE Jackie's roving balls and now batts! This has seriously become my favorite yarn I have spun to date! Plied with acrylic slightly fuzzy novelty yarn.


2. BFL I dyded, spun into a chunky 2 ply, and am now knitting into a simple scarf for my momma!


3. Spun from "Cutey" by Funky Carolina. A wonderful BFL Single.


4. A very finely spun 2 ply from Black Orchid and Glade in Merino/Silk dyed by Pigeon Roof Studios on Etsy


5. Hobbledehoy Batts! Plied with metallic thread, so soft and squishy!


6. Another batt set from YarnZombie!


7. "Beach" from FeltStudioUK on etsy.


8. And finally I took my All Spun Up Ravelry Spin Along Fiber, ran it through the drumcarder with some Gold and Copper glitz and Ta-da beautiful swirling single!!!

It was dye week at my house! I completed a pound of Merino, a pound of Merino/Silk, and a pound of BFL. Also finished a half pound of SW Merino last night but it isn't photographed yet. Here's the group shot!

Kinda simple but I used these baby cakes from Loop


and they became this yarn


which then became this scarf!


The yarn was striping between the 3 baby cakes width-wise and I didn't like it so I cast on the length of the scarf and knit it that way so the stripes went the length-wise. I love it!

Happy Fourth of July Fiber Friday Fanatics!!! I have 4 yarns to share this week (wow try to say that 4 times fast! lol) Anyway on to the yarns:

1st is "Lake Michigan" 20 yards Supercoils, SW Merion, Firestar, and Bamboo


2nd is "God Save the Queen" 118 yards plied with metallic thread and coils, Various Wool and Fibers


3rd is "Mountain Air" 110 yards 2 ply, 70% Merino and 30% Bamboo


4th is "Rose Garden" 210 yards 2 play 70% Merino and 30% Silk

Anyone know of a source online to purchase Eco-fiber make from recycled plastic bottles?

I would like to mix up some big batches of dye to dye fiber with but I know I won't use them all in the same day. What is the best way to store them and is there anything I need to do to them when I am ready to use them again (ie heat them up somehow?) I have some large glass canning jars, would those work?

In case it makes a difference, I will be using both Wiltons with Citric Acid and Pro MX Reactive Dyes.
