1  Seashell yarn (: in Spinning: Completed Projects by Sally LeStrange on: August 06, 2011 08:03:20 AM
Recently, my mom ordered a drop spindle and started spinning yarn. She has gotten so good at it, and I'm proud of her (: It's because of her that I got interested in spinning too.
Recently my mom showed me an article about Neauveau Fiber Arts (http://www.facebook.com/neauveau). There's a store in Massachusetts selling some of her yarn. I went and looked at it, and was inspired.
I had 30 some-odd seashells and some hemp..

Which had gotten a little tangled...
I also had yarn in various shades of blue and sea foam green..

Tada! Cheesy

I had some clear seed beeds that I tied into some blue embroidery floss and spun into it. I combed out some pieces of white yarn so there could be some sort of fluff to be like foam on the waves.
There's about 20ft of it...I know, not a lot. But oh well.
I have no idea what to do with it. Any suggestions?

3  Even more hats.... in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sally LeStrange on: September 29, 2010 02:31:24 PM
I was at the dollar store wearing a hat I had made, and a lady walked up to me. She asked me to make one for her daughter and she would pay for it. So I made two for her to pick from...

4  My Cuddle Buddy (: in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Sally LeStrange on: September 26, 2010 01:56:52 PM

I used a pattern from a book...it's actually the pattern for a monkey. The teddy bear pattern was smaller and I wanted something big.
I used four different types of yarn: 3 for the body, head and arms. One for the ears. Oh, and one more for the face(I just can't count...)

I just grabbed two random buttons for his eyes.

I used size 10 needles and yarn I just had laying around...

6  Knitted Hat With Pigtails (: in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sally LeStrange on: September 19, 2010 01:34:27 PM
Every year around this time, I begin making Christmas presents (then after Christmas I pretty much start a few projects and finish nothing...bad habit Cheesy)
This is my best friends Christmas present:

(Please forgive the crappy phone pics)

Me pretending to model:

I used size 15 circulars and THICK yarn. I've never made braids on a hat before, and I had no idea how much yarn it would take!

I made this hat for one of my dads for his birthday. It was supposed to be a murloc hat but it turned out too cute to be a murloc(my dad pointed out later it could have been a baby murloc)
Eyes were stuffed so they stick out Cheesy

Vicious teeth...
