4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Drops Design Wrap Cardigan on: February 15, 2006 10:45:35 AM
I found this pattern a while ago, read through it, i was alittle confused but it kinda made sense to me at the time so i got my yarn and started knitting only to realise it actually makes no sense at all ,for example:

"Collar: On the next row begin to inc for the collar inside 3 edge sts knit as before. Inc by pulling up sts from previous row knit increased sts in reverse stockinette st. Inc 1 st every 3rd row a total of 17 times.
Neck shaping: At the same time after 1st inc for collar, dec 1 st (see knitting tips): 16-18-22-27-29 times: "

is it really asking me to inc 1 st for the collar then dec a st for the neckline on the next row? right now i'm kind of working on the idea that the collar is knit seperatly and attached at the end, i'm half using this pattern and half using the judy jetson pattern to get the look i want.

I would really appreciate it if someone could give the pattern a quick read and tell me if I'm going nuts or not Huh

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / I need a bean cozy on: December 26, 2005 10:09:47 AM
I just got a sony walkman bean mp3 player (its like a large jelly bean), i carried it round for most of christmas day because i was too scared that it would get scratched if i put it in my pocket or my purse.
I really think it would look cute and alittle less damageable with a little stripey bean cozy, i tried a few times last night to knit something, with no sucess (its that whole kidney bean shape thats tricky), so i'm throwing the subjet out to the floor, hopefully someone can help me Smiley

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty's Mariah, Chart C what am i doing wrong on: October 25, 2005 07:18:43 PM
I've been scouring the net to find the answer to this question but with little luck so far, I've just started making Mariah and I've done the first 2" of the cuff and have just got into Chart C and i can't for the life of me figure out what this bit is asking me to do:

"[K1 tbl k1] in st, insert left needle behind vertical strand between the 2 new sts, k this: makes 2 new sts"

I had found a link that if it had opened would have solved all my problems, just my luck that it wouldn't open. Angry

Please can anyone explain what I'm supposed to do or point me in the right direction. Smiley

 :)Scarlet Smiley

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What is the best acrylic yarn to use if you have nooo other choice on: September 19, 2005 01:22:02 PM
If you were stranded to an island and you could take only one ball of yarn and it had to be acrylic which would you choose?

I ask because i want to know if there is any acrylic yarn out there that doesn't suck, the only way for me to get a natural fibre at the mo is online which is no good if you have to knit right away.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Foliage Bear - the uglist thhing i've ever made on: August 08, 2005 08:33:02 AM
Heres my attempt at the Berroco Foliage Bear, i was feeling adventurous so i knit this in Red Heart Light and Lofty withought a gauge swatch and on the wrong size needles (living on the edge hehe)

I'm actuly quite happy with the shap and he knit up really fast, but he's damn ugly in a loveable sort of way Grin
