I'm so happy you like the package JS!!!

I am hoping I will be able to make another claim this round, but right now I am working on a purse for my mom's birthday in a couple weeks, and I want to make sure I can get it finished in time.

I have two Janomes and a Janome serger. The one I use right now is the Schoolmate S-3015. It is a really basic machine with not a lot of features, which to me is less stuff that could break! Since I make mostly clothing, the machine has worked great for me. It can handle leather well.

Also, I have started on my mug rug for JS!

I claim JS for a mug rug and a supply item!
Due 7-19-2016

Hi, Im Caitlin from California! I live with my boyfriend, our two birds, and one cat. We live in a small rural town, relatively close to San Francisco. I do not have any allergies, but I am not fond of smoke smell. My favorite colors are purples, blues, greens, black, turquoise, silver, and jewel tones. I dont really like bright reds and yellows (as a pale ginger, they are not colors that look good on me, lol), but its fine if they are used in small amounts. I love animals, especially birds, pigs, elephants, llamas, camels, etc. I also love nature, trees, animal skulls and skeletons, space/stars, maps and globes, Harry Potter, Futurama, Tim Burton, ancient history/cultural items (ancient Egypt, Inca, Maya, Celtic,...). If you see something on my pinterest that is not listed below feel free to PM me if you want to make it.
I dont crochet or knit so I always love crocheted and knitted items!
-Some big wishes-Socks ( US size 8 or EU 39), shawl, shrug, poncho or tank top (womens small)-I have some examples of ones I like on my pinterest board, but I am open to anything!
-Amigurumi or mini amigurumi animals.
-Harry Potter amigurumi. I love this set https://www.pinterest.com/pin/444308319457562410/
But you do not need to do the whole set, any character would be fine, even those not in the set.
-Futurama brain slug amigurumi, or any amigurumi inspired by Futurama.
-Really love this Christmas light set... https://www.pinterest.com/pin/444308319457453416/
-Bird Amigurumi-any kind of bird
-Mug rug for my desk at work (max size 8 by 6, smaller in fine)
-Mini art quilt or mini wall hanging of some kind.
-Big wish-Clothing of some kind-tank tops, shirts, skirts, etc. Womens small for tops, PM me if you need other sizing info.
-Simons cat plush (any size) https://www.pinterest.com/pin/444308319460271175/
-Kiwi bird plush-some examples I like https://www.pinterest.com/pin/444308319465559312/ or https://www.pinterest.com/pin/444308319464911146/
Other Crafts
-Hooplas. I want to start a hoopla wall! I have a hoopla board (WARNING some have curse words and might not be work safe https://www.pinterest.com/calicanyon/crafts-i-admire-hooplas/)
-Reusable Christmas advent calendar- I can fill each day with something, so you dont need to worry about that. https://www.pinterest.com/calicanyon/christmas/
-Refrigerator tin storage https://www.pinterest.com/pin/444308319458361268/
-Decorated dry erase board that has magnets on back to go on refrigerator, or some other memo type board for refrigerator.
-Fun magnets for my refrigerator
-Outdoor/patio art-Wind chimes, garden stakes, wall hangings, etc.
-Anything bird themed-especially wall art in any medium (I collect bird stuff) https://www.pinterest.com/calicanyon/i-love-birds/

-Sewing machine thread-any kind or color. Especially black and white
-Serger thread-Black or white. Any colors are fine too, but I would need 4 matching if not black or white.

Hope your little one starts feeling better soon anna.wahnsinn!

I just sent in my questionnaire! I have been thinking about doing one of the OWS swaps for a while and finally decided I should just do it. I have an idea of something to make for JS, so if no one claims her before I get added to the swap I will make my first claim! so I made my first claim!

Excited to hear about new shops for Fall! I will be back this fall and hopefully will have a lot new items. I am trying to get some mug rugs done and maybe a few new purses, also might try to make some more skull candles like the ones I had last fall.

Thanks artsycandice, Patraw, and Lilacsinflight! And thank you to everyone who voted for my project! Grin

Curious, did you have to iron at any point?  Ask because I am wondering how the neoprene type material reacts to being ironed for my own non-contest related project that I am working procrastinating on.

NoShowJr, I didn't iron the tablet sleeves at any point. To do the top stitching I had to use lots on pins to flatten while I was sewing. The material is a little different then neoprene, I think it may have melted if I tried to iron it. If you decide to try ironing your neoprene I recommend using a test scrap and ironing it on a low setting with a press cloth just to be safe.
