I did a personal swap with fullmoon. Thought I would share what I made. These are a set of steam punk goggles made from 5oz leather, brass thumb screws, Plexiglas, some plumbing fittings, and a buckle. I had fun making them and hope you enjoy them.

13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Warcraft Alliance Crest Carved Into Bone on: December 29, 2010 08:30:48 PM
Finishing up posting my different Holiday gifts. This one I made for a friend of ours. She is really getting into playing World of Warcraft. It is the first video game she has ever really player and is really enjoying it. Although I am a fan of the Horde she plays Alliance. So I decided to carve the Alliance crest into a piece of bone so she could make a necklace or something else. Because the bone curves it was really hard to get a full picture of it and because it is shiny and white it was also hard to get a picture of it with detail, so I had to darken the image some so you can see the detail. Hope you enjoy it.

14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Toadstool...Stool (Pic Heavy) Now With Tutorial Page on Page 3 on: December 23, 2010 08:09:06 AM
Ah Miscellaneous Topics my favorite location and home of all the awesome crafts. I have been wanting to post about this project for awhile but since the wife frequents these halls I could not let her catch a glimpse of her present. I had a lot of fun working on this and think it is some of my best work to date, hope you enjoy it as well.

My wife loves mushroom houses but I wanted to make something she could use as well and not just look at on a shelf so I came up with this idea. It has a 24" diameter top, and a 15" diameter base. it is about 2 feet tall and has a working door, and a flickering yellow LED light behind the window.

Finished Project.

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Coconut Heart Earrings (3 Pairs) on: December 10, 2010 04:31:29 PM
Sorry accidentally posted this under my wife's account at first.

Getting ready for Christmas and I am working on making some presents for my Sisters kids 4 girls and a Boy. I finished 3 pairs of earrings last night, I need to make 1 more pair of earrings and figure out something to make for my nephew. But I thought I would share my progress so far.

I tried to keep them kind of primitive cause I like the texture it gives the earrings. If they were all straight cuts I think they would look too clean and boring. Any feedback would be appreciated and any suggestions for my nephew  Smiley
16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Coconut Tree Of Life Pendants on: November 14, 2010 08:39:24 PM
Hello all, it's been awhile since I have posted anything but a friend of mine at work asked me to make three necklaces for her three daughters. I then made a knot work pendant for her. I added their birthstone colors to each pendant to make them personalized for each of them. All of these pendants are made from Coconut. Hope you enjoy them.

17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Dr. Who Travel Sewing Kit on: July 11, 2010 10:10:17 AM
Oh Miscellaneous Forum how I love you, the only place where my crafts find a home. This project was for "One Tiny Thing: Dr. Who". I cannot claim credit for idea of this. I saw something like it on my partners wist made by Ellemir. Although I had to modify it slightly ( I don't sew much and it had to be small ). So I grabbed
  • A piece of poplar
  • Some small hinges
  • Wood glue
  • Clamps
  • Paint
  • And Implements of Destruction
and set about my work. I am very happy with the out come.

So we open up the TARDIS.

The whole TARDIS opens up to allow access to 2 pin cushions and a seam ripper.

The center pole can also be used as a spool holder.

And what TARDIS would be complete without a Doctor and a Companion and some antagonists Smiley

So here is 10th Doctor, Rose, an Adipose Baby, and an Empty Child all on the tops of pins.

I hope that you all enjoy this. Loved working on it.
18  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Marble Chess Board And Pieces (Pic Heavy) on: February 10, 2010 05:40:46 PM
So I found out I am going to be moving so I started packing up my stuff and before I packed up my chess board I decided to take some pictures and post them for all to see.

I made this a few years back when I worked in construction. We were working on this one home and the home owners ordered 20" x 20" Italian pitted marble tiles for their entrance way, but she didn't like that they were so big and wanted them to be 9" x 9" tiles. So my boss bought a different saw to make it easier to cut the tiles. So I spent most of the day cutting all these tiles down to size (with about a 1" left over scrap) then we started spacing out the tiles and found out that the saw wasn't square so all the tiles had 2 sides that were about an 1/8th" off so I had to square the saw and re-cut all the tiles again. I was shaving off about 1/2". So I had 1" scraps and 1/2" scraps.

Well while I spent the entire day cutting and re-cutting tiles I decided they would make a good chess board. So I would cut a few tiles, carve a piece, rinse and repeat. Then at the end of the day I grabbed the nail gun, glue, and stain and put everything together. Since I was using the pitted marble I wanted to give everything a very rugged and rustic look, so all the pieces are crude and the board looks a little beat up. I really like it and hope you do too.

Here is it all put away.

19  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Hand Carved Bone Trinket Box (pic heavy) on: February 07, 2010 07:44:10 AM
Well because I can never figure out where any of my projects should go they almost always end up here, lol  Grin
I made this for my boss for Christmas. I work for Samsung which is a Korean company so I asked his secretary what I should write on the side so she wrote out the characters, but didn't tell me what they meant. So for I all I know I may have been writing nasty things to him, ha ha. But I didn't get fired and he thanked me for it (he didn't believe I made it at first and thought I had bought it somewhere but then his secretary confirmed I had made it) so I assume they were all good.

Anyway the box is about 2" wide by 1" deep with a leather top and bottom. I used the leather stain in the characters to make them easier to see.

Hope you liked it.
20  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dwarf on: January 30, 2010 10:14:00 PM
So being a fan of fantasy and being bored I decided to try my hand a polymer clay. so with a little bit of white clay, a toothpick, and some tin foil i started fooling around while watching TV. I was very happy with the result. After a little paint I was even happier. I am now tempted to make a whole little army of dwarfs and goblins and create an epic battle  Grin hope you like him.
