And here they are all taking a nap together Smiley yes our big girl is the youngest and she also thinks she is a

Casey! Your kids look soooo cute cuddling together! I can totally relate. Our 140 lb great dane thinks he's an 8lb weiner dog. Opie seems to be convinced that he's the biggest, toughest dog in the house!!

All 3 of the big dogs love cuddling with Opie though. I get so much joy watching them interact. I'm constantly laughing and screaming "get the camera" in my house!!

I'm so enjoying seeing everyone's photos. I LOVE checking this thread and can't wait for more cute doxie pics and crafts to come!!

I've received and I'm nutty with excitement! I won Millik's amazing woodland creature wall hanging. She is SO talented. I immediately ran around the house trying to find the perfect place to hang it. I ended up putting it in the craft room since that is where I spend most of my time Smiley.

A shot of its place in the craft room (sorry the light is weird).

A shot of its special home above pictures of the fur-kids.

And a close-up to show-off her amazing stitching abilities. These photos really don't do it justice!

Thank you SO much Millik. I'm in craft swap heaven right now. I love it so much that I want to wist it - even though it's already mine!! Ha!!

Opie's coloring is beautiful!

I promised our Boxer mix that I would make her something so she doesnt feel left out Smiley

I also had to promise to make the great danes something Wink. There's nothing worse than a 140lb dog with hurt feelings.

I'm lovin' all these doxie pictures. They are all such cutie pies!! I also love seeing a 16 year old dachshund that looks as happy and healthy as Taz. That's awesome.

I thought I should also post a shot of our new furbaby, Beatrice! She won't be coming home until next week. The anticipation is killing us!!!

She is 4 weeks old in this shot:

I received from oneredboot yesterday and I'm ecstatic! Everything she created is so "me". I said one "whhooooaaa" after the next as I pulled out each random goodie. She is so talented and I feel so fortunate to have been paired with her in this swp.

The whole shebang...Whoooaaaaa...right?

She made a fantastic shall that is so perfect for fall in Seattle. The colors are great and it's very cozy. Her friend recommended a book based on my love of the Spellman Files books. I'm going to start it tonight and enjoy a hot cup of tea from the adorable cozy!

The picture isn't great but this is an apron - all of my favorite colors and the perfect length. I already made good use of this last night at my Halloween party.

I'm so excited to use this! An embroidery kit in an AMAZING project bag. I've been wanting to try out embroidery for a long time and now I've got everything I need to get started. Ring, fabric, floss, adorable stitch holder and needles, and even a little pocket stitch book that will be easy to carry and very helpful since I don't know what I'm doing Smiley. And is this bag incredible or what??? Look at that bird!! It's so unique and I absolutely adore it.

Close-up of the birdie...

Thank you thank you thank you! I love everything you so thoughfully created for me.

Awww...MetalVyxen - your ladies are all beautiful. Are they long-haired brindles? Such cuties!

It is so fun seeing pictures of all of the doxies on craftster!

I know we're thinking of making this a dog swap but I did a search for Dachshund crafts and found a few fun posts I thought I'd share...

And here is the project I made for my Opie recently Smiley. He loves being carried around in it. He even sleeps and eats in the thing! Ha!

Yay!! I just signed up! I cooked up a pleated shoulder bag earlier today to offer. I don't know if it's what I'm "best" at but this is the item all of my girlfriends request I make for them Smiley.

HeyVern - your doxies are adorable!!

When would you guys want to do this swap? I know there is another dog swap in progress right now. Should we wait until that's over or would you rather start sooner?

339  Finger Puppet Friends! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by LimeRiot on: October 19, 2009 08:15:05 PM
I was thrilled to learn on Friday that my best friend is pregnant! I started crafting for her immediately Smiley.

I made these finger puppet friends for the little one from Aranzi Aronzo's book, Baby Stuff. The stitching isn't perfect and some of them look a bit wonky-eyed but they were really fun and easy to make!

Thanks for looking...byee!!

340  2 Humans, 4 Dogs, Tons of Crafts, 1100 Sq Ft in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by LimeRiot on: September 13, 2009 11:27:10 PM
My Fiance and I have 2 great danes, a lab and a mini-dachshund. We also have a tiny house - just under 1100 sq ft (fortunately we have a BIG backyard Smiley). As you can imagine, space is at a premium inside.

We have 2 bedrooms. Previously, we had a guest/dog room but now we have a guest/dog/CRAFT room!!

I'm kicking myself for not taking before and after photos but let me tell you...the change is significant. We originally had a queen size bed and a couple of kennels in the room. There was a tiny open area where you could walk to the closet but that was it.

Well, with the help of a great fiance and a near-by IKEA, we tranformed the room into a multi-purpose space! The dog kennels are now safely under a loft bed. The loft bed is full size and will be comfortable for house guests. With the space we saved by putting the kennels under the bed, we were able to add a desk and a shelving unit!

I'm soooo excited to be able to have all of my crafts in one place. I feel so much more creative and organized now.

Here are some pics:

I hung a curtain on the loft bed frame so I could close off the dog kennel/dog bed area Smiley

Thank you so much for looking! I appreciate any thoughts or ideas you'd like to share!
