1  Is that a book or a cunningly disguised electronic device? in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sparrowarms on: June 08, 2011 11:43:34 AM

I saw something similar to this on Pinterest so had to have a go. I made a little photo tut too, don't know if it's much help to anyone! No sew, I used my glue gun for the whole thing. Man, I love that thing.

Apologies for the not so hot pics. I am not gifted in that area. If you have any questions though, just ask!

2  Re: eReader/Tablet Case Swap GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by sparrowarms on: May 24, 2011 06:43:35 AM
My package arrived, my package arrived! And it is GLORIOUS. My partner did an amazing job and I love it all! On to the pics!

Everything:

And with my kindle in!

I love Terry Pratchet and the case has "Nunc id Vides, Nunc ne Vides" which is the Unseen University motto and roughly translates as "Now you see it, now you don't". My partner was worried it wouldnt fit in, but it's perfect! There's also an unseen university pen and bookmark! I love, love, love it!

3  Re: One Tiny Stuffie Swap--Round 5 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by sparrowarms on: May 18, 2011 01:53:12 AM
Her is my AWESOME package!

GiddyUpMunky and I decided to send one stuffie and as extra, fill the rest of the envelope with stash. Holy moly, was I not disapointed!

Here's everything together:

Look at all those goodies! There was a bracelet which you can't see as it happened to match my top perfectly, as so is already on, and little finger puppet monkeys which are buried in there, and were swiftly claimed by my daughter!

And a close up of my FAB stuffie! I loves me some uber geek Smiley

Thank you again GiddyUpMunky!

4  Teeny Tiny Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sparrowarms on: May 12, 2011 10:40:05 AM
Here in the UK we call wallets, purses and this is my new one! I wanted something small, but big enough to hold a decent amount of cards as well as coins, but I didn't want them to bash together. I also wanted a zip. Here's what I came up with!

My fab caravan fabric! Anyone who knows me knows I'm obsessed with caravans and I bought this fat quarter and saved it for ages until I decided to make a kindle cover out of it. And cut it out wrong. Ah well, the scraps found a use!

The card slots.

Size comparison.

That won't fit in there you say!

Oh yes it will!

This was a super easy project and took me about half an hour. I think I may need more...

6  Ipad cover! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by sparrowarms on: May 12, 2011 08:03:32 AM
My partner has received so I can finally post the iPad cover I made!

My partner wanted something that folded over to protect the iPad, could stay on whilst in use and had a handle and this is what I came up with:

With fake iPad!

It folds back on itself and the velcro holds it secure.

It's cotton lined with fleece on the inside and thick mount card on the outside. I made one for my kindle and I love it!

8  The Great Caravan/Trailer Makeover! Pic-tastic! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sparrowarms on: March 04, 2011 11:34:56 AM
Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but finally I've made over my caravan! I bought it in September, but it's been way too cold to do anything on it until now. And this last two weeks I've been using every free minute to get it done! Even though we don't have any trips planned until April.

Onto the pics!

The before's:

The after's!

The map wall! I'm so pleased with how this turned out especially as it only cost 3! It's not entirely accurate though, Dundee is now off the coast of Anglesey...

My fave pic.

My hoops from the lates hoopla round!

The outside! The next project...

9  Re: Embroidery Hoopla R4, Diptych Round - Gallery (SendOut 3/21/11) in The Swap Gallery by sparrowarms on: March 02, 2011 02:54:17 AM
First to post pictures, woo hoo! My partner has completely outdone herself. I am amazed.

My well documented love of caravans is fabulously documented here...

Took me a minute or two to get it at first, but I laughed my buttski off when I did! AND the colours mathc my caravan so that's where they're going!

Thank you so, so much!

10  Re: needle book swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by sparrowarms on: January 31, 2011 01:40:41 AM
I received last Thursday (blush) but have spent the weekend very poorly thanks to baby number 2 growing rapidly (morning sickness? 24 hour sickness mesthinks.)

Anyhoo, I'm feeling much better now and so here are the pics of the AMAZING package I got from Calabaza!

First the whole package:

We agreed on 2 food and 3 supply extras and I got some goodies! I love stuff with nuts in so can't wait to crack into these. And the buttons are awesome.

And my amazing, fantastic, fricking awesome needlebook!

I told Calabaza that I'm making over my caravan and making a sewing kit for it and this beauty is what she came up with! I LOVE it!

Thanks for everything Calabaza!
