2  Dinosaur Fossil Necklace (Parasaurolophus) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Cthuliz on: November 24, 2011 02:13:06 PM
I was recently inspired by lidehtium's nifty Tatty Devine-inspired dinosaur necklace. Naturally, as a lover of all things fossil, I became eager to make my own dinosaur necklace.

Yet instead of making a Ceratosaurus necklace, I was set on my favorite dinosaur, the Parasaurolophus.

Hope you like it!

Finally I finished sewing something in time for the season at hand!

Hope you like it. I used the New Look 6658 sewing pattern and made my own toggle closures out of twisted cord.

5  DIY iPhone App Magnets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Cthuliz on: August 21, 2011 12:56:37 PM
I crafted these iPhone app magnets as a birthday present for my boyfriends mother Apple enthusiast using Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, printed icons and, of course, sanded magnets.

They were a hit with everyone at the birthday shebang. Another victory for homemade gifts!

6  Fabric wall organizers? in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by Cthuliz on: December 27, 2010 01:48:08 PM
Hi all,

I'm wondering if any of you have any brilliant solutions/suggestions for fabric organizers that fasten to the wall in some way. I sew a lot and would love to keep everything organized. I was thinking of having book paddles like those you see in poster stores, where you can turn one panel to get to the next, like this:

I found a similar rack made specifically for fabric: http://www.clotilde.com/detail.html?source=froogle&prod_id=7923

How do you all organize your remnants and future projects? I don't want to go the box/cabinet route because then fabric gets hidden and I forget about it. Any ingenious solutions?

Thanks!

7  Sun-Dried Tomato and Parmesan Carbonara (Vegetarian) in Vegetarian / Vegan by Cthuliz on: November 03, 2010 05:55:14 PM
This delicious dish was something I whipped up in less than 30 minutes with minimal preparation. It is amazing. It scratches the mac n cheese itch without being overbearing, and its just the right amount for two people sharing a lunch or light dinner.

The recipe comes from Linda Frasers Vegetarian: The Best-Ever Recipe Collection. Im so in love with this book that my goal is to cook every single item within. Even my omnivore foodie friends are obsessed with it and are jealous that I found it at a thrift store for $1.98, no less. Cheesy

8  Colored Pencil Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Cthuliz on: October 24, 2010 01:19:36 PM

I've been meaning to make one of these for years, but only just got around to making myself bust out the tools and pencils. Ah, redemption.  Cool

What do you think of it?

9  Fluffy banana pancakes with walnut topping in Recipes and Cooking Tips by Cthuliz on: August 23, 2010 04:42:44 PM

AllRecipes.com's Fluffy Pancakes recipe has been a staple in our household for years now, but I only recently decided to make it more healthy by substituting 1 tablespoon mashed banana for the 2 tablespoons of butter required.

Results? Still sinfully delicious. Then I topped it with the remaining banana slices, walnuts, and maple syrup.

10  Chiffon peacock dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Cthuliz on: August 23, 2010 04:35:06 PM

I was originally inspired by ModCloths Hotel Particulier Dress. While perusing Burda Styles June 2010 issue, I found a similar-looking dress pattern (#126) and decided Id give it a sew. After choosing zany avian fabric, of course.

If you'd like to read more sewing-specific 'blahblah', I've written about it on my blog: http://cthuliz.com/blog/?p=915
