421  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Pick-n-Choose Rnd 3 - send out 9/25 on: July 12, 2009 12:31:53 PM
I cannot wait to get my partner! Just knowing that I'm already paired up somewhere makes me want to explode with excitement. lol.  Grin

That is how I feel too.  I was at Joann's Friday to get some yarn and I kept thinking about how I couldn't wait to come back after I had my partner so I could shop for those supplies.  Knowing the pairs are made is like knowing that your parents have already bought your Christmas presents, except in this instance I can't go digging through closets trying to find my partner!

just because im in a male dominated degree/career there is no need for me to look like one! haha

That is why I had to get a pink hard hat!

I really like the high waisted skirt.  I think it looks great.
424  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: i went walking with a ghost. on: July 11, 2009 07:10:22 PM
That is cute, makes me wish I knew how to do embroidery.
425  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Sid, the Safety Cone on: July 11, 2009 05:05:27 PM
Ok, I just made one, and he is taller and skinnier, and not so cone shaped.  GRRR.

Edit: I just figured out why, I was doing double crochet instead of single crochet!  Can you tell it has been a while since I did any crochet?
426  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: CALLING ALL NERDS! on: July 11, 2009 04:16:13 PM
Oh I would totally love to do this, but I'm in my first swap right now and can't sign up for another yet.  If for some reason it doesn't get started right away maybe I will be able to join.  If not I will be watching and wisting the gallery I'm sure.
427  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Pick-n-Choose Rnd 3 - sign ups until 7/11, send out 9/25 on: July 11, 2009 03:50:57 PM
TheSapphireMoon, that apron top is really cute, I bet it is comfy too.  I used to have a similar top, but the back closed all the way with buttons.  It was my favorite summer top.  It will be a luck swapper who ends up with an item of you clothing!
428  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: baby hats!!! on: July 11, 2009 01:52:57 PM
Very cute, and they look well made.  That last picture clearly says 'mom it's summer get this darn thing off me'.
429  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: boring coveralls to FABULUS coveralls! on: July 11, 2009 01:46:00 PM
As a fellow girly engineer I adore that.  I actually have a company issued set of coveralls at work for wearing in the field (optional not mandatory thank goodness).  I think you have inspired me to bring them home and make them over!
430  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: McCalls 4444 two ways! on: July 11, 2009 01:38:48 PM
