21  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: One Fab Zippered Pouch Swap - Gallery on: August 08, 2013 12:03:58 PM
I got a package today, all the way from New Zealand!  Carmenmarie sent me a beautiful pouch and some really neat stickers.

one side has this fun dangly trim
\
the other side has my name

I couldn't get a good picture of these.  They are really neat like green and metallic gold marble with gold outline.  They are super pretty.

I can't wait to use my pouch.

That block is amazing donniesgirl.  I don't even understand paper piecing enough to try it!

Listing 15 mediums is a little overwhelming to me.  Smiley

I was just thinking this!
24  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap 2 (Sign-ups CLOSED, SO August 19th) on: August 06, 2013 07:24:33 PM
I was a stay-at-home, home schooling mom but I always seemed to find time to craft.

So glad to hear someone say this!  I am pregnant with my first, planning to be a stay at home mom.  I was irritated because someone in the family tried to say that instead of turning our guest room into a nursery I should give up my craft room because "I won't have any time to craft once I have a child".  I am determined otherwise!  It is good to hear someone whit experience say that it is possible.

Side note, I finished two projects today and love them both, have a decent size scrap left over and am deciding what to do with it.

Has anyone ever done a magnetic closure?  Not like a magnetic snap, but more like magnets hidden in the fabric.  I can't find anything at the craft store short of buying magnet sheets and cutting pieces, but I'm not sure those would be strong enough.

If anyone gets what I'm trying to do (I'm having a hard time explaining it) and has advice let me know.

Oh frickety frick frick!  The tutorial I bookmarked for one of my main projects is now gone.  "Sorry, the blog at ____ has been removed."  You HAVE to be kidding me!

This is the part I hate, project sent, waiting for partner to receive, and hoping they like it.

I love my garden fence blocks!  It is driving me crazy that I can't start on this swap yet.  Shipping my fabulous zipper pouch tomorrow, then starting on my fat quarter swap, then this one when that is done.

Some of both.  I used a pattern that I hadn't used before, and it didn't turn out the size I thought it would, plus there were a couple other cosmetic issues.

Super upset over the whole thing.  Spent too much time on the fabulous, now the pouch itself isn't great!

Things are not going right in my world as far as this pouch is concerned.  Ugh.
