11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap 2 GALLERY on: September 06, 2013 09:43:55 AM
Adore that package from enginerdlisa!  Fun fabrics and pieces.  Any chance you'd be willing to share your pattern source for the card wallet?  I'm thinking I'd like to have one for all those 'store cards' that I hate having clutter up my wallet.

I had looked at a pattern on a blog, but when I went back to make it the blog was gone!  So I kind of made it up from memory.
This is very similar http://nancyscouture.blogspot.com/2011/03/so-many-cards-so-little-room.html
I added super stiff interfacing to make it hold up better, and did a button and loop closure instead of a snap.

Hi guys!  Sorry I have been missing.  I had some issues, and was in the hospital and dealing with some junk.  I have bought all my fabric, and I will be working on blocks starting Monday!

I got my package from GlassKicker

2 burp cloths with cloth diaper backing

A key fob and zippered wristlet

I just realized I forgot to take pictures of the fat quarters, they are beautiful purple batik.  GlassKicker if you have a photo feel free to share or I will do it next week.

I have trouble with wonky too.  I like quilting because of the straight lines and nice geometry, it all makes sense in my little math brain.  Wonky doesn't process!

I am a Red Hat member (yes I know am not a Red Hatter I am a pink hatter, it's an age thing) so I see lots of purple and red and when I make things for the group I see it till I am dreaming red and purple LOL

Love the red hat ladies, a bunch of them cam out and cheered at my last half marathon, and they were the loudest most enthusiastic cheering section out there.  However, every time I see the purple and red together I cringe, that is a combination that I just can not stand.

Loving everyone's blocks.  I finished my fat quarter swap package, so I should be starting on my blocks this week or next.  So excited to work on blocks.

I finished my two bigger projects, and two smaller projects, and have been staring at my scraps for days trying to figure out what to do with them.  I finally decided this morning that the scraps are too small to do anything with so it is time to get ready to ship.

Yep, first time (I've also never embroidered, so this was a pretty big stretch).  I kinda picked an ambitious project, but go big or go home and all that.

Glad you like them.  I wondered if your daughter wouldn't claim the pink one.  As I was making it I thought, this is awfully bright, but then I figured since you have a little girl it wouldn't go to waste!

It was my first time beading.  I really enjoyed it, even though it took much longer than anticipated.
