3  Re: One Fab Zippered Pouch Swap - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by EnginerdLisa on: August 08, 2013 12:03:58 PM
I got a package today, all the way from New Zealand!  Carmenmarie sent me a beautiful pouch and some really neat stickers.

one side has this fun dangly trim
\
the other side has my name

I couldn't get a good picture of these.  They are really neat like green and metallic gold marble with gold outline.  They are super pretty.

I can't wait to use my pouch.

5  Re: Quilt Block Swap Round 4 (Sign Ups 7/1-7/31, Sendouts 9/30) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by EnginerdLisa on: July 09, 2013 06:17:19 PM
Bought fabric today for the first baby quilt I'm making for myself.  We aren't planning to find out the gender of Babynerd, so I'm trying to keep it good for either.

The yellow on the left will be front border, the yellow on the right will be the back.

6  Halloween Wreath in Halloween Decor and Parties by EnginerdLisa on: July 07, 2013 08:37:18 PM
Tons and tons of black, orange, lime and purple tulle strips tied on a metal wreath frame.  Then glued a pack of plastic spiders in the tulle.  The wood ghost/beware cutout was $1 at Target, so I threw that in too, it is just dangling in the center from some ribbon tied to the metal frame.

7  Star blanket for my bestfriend's baby girl. in Crochet: Completed Projects by EnginerdLisa on: July 07, 2013 08:32:58 PM
I made this in May for my girlfirend's baby shower.  The baby was born on the 4th of July.  I'm working on a light saber stuffie as well, but amigurumi is not my strong suit so it is taking longer than planned.

8  Flowerpot makeover in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by EnginerdLisa on: July 07, 2013 08:28:47 PM
I made these for my houseplants.  Regular terra cotta pots, sheets of glass tile, E600, grout, and metallic paint.

I thought I would be able to use the sheets of tile, but ended up having to cut all the tiles apart and glue each one on separately.  I did two like this in browns, and two in shades of blue, also with the copper rim.

9  Purse from sewing class in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by EnginerdLisa on: July 07, 2013 08:25:19 PM
I made this purse a while back in a sewing class I took at Jo-anns.  I hated the class, and didn't really learn anything, but the purse came out cute.  The body is a linen, the trim and lining is a satiny fabric.  It has one zipper pocket inside and two little pockets that are just the right size for all those stupid cards that every store seems to want you to have now.
