1  Pink Cinderella in Halloween Costumes by Vdbonnett on: November 10, 2014 05:34:19 PM
My daughter will be 3 at the end of November and her favorite movie is Cinderella.  She had a long list of costume wishes - Jessie from Toy Story was her second choice.  When she told me she wanted to be "pink Cinderella, the one that Gus made", I knew that it was the perfect choice for her.   I made the dress by altering Simplicity 2872.  I made all of the bows out of the fabric and I made the necklace too (it lasted about 5 minutes before she broke it).

2  Lily's Diaper Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Vdbonnett on: July 28, 2011 08:16:16 PM
I made a backpack last weekend using this tutorial: http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2010/08/back-to-school-free-let%e2%80%99s-go-backpack-pattern-tutorial/

I liked the pattern so much, that I decided to use it again for my little girl's diaper bag (I'm due in December).

I added the envelope pocket, 2 magnetic snaps, thicker interfacing, and a different way to make the straps.

I have more pictures on my blog: http://ourminiatureadventures.blogspot.com/2011/07/lilys-diaper-bag.html

Edit:AND I'm planning on writing tutorials for how I changed the backpack from the orginial tutorial @ SewMamaSew.

My tutorials are up on my blog!! http://ourminiatureadventures.blogspot.com/p/my-tutorials.html

Great things, batman wallet makes me smile Smiley
Hey, it's "blue steel!"   Wink  Cute wallets and hat!  Someone has mastered the snap installation process...I am in awe.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the compliments. Y'all just made my day! Grin

They are actually Nintendo DS cases that I made for SMLounbury's kids.  This is what they look like on the inside:

Please ignore the messy stitches at the bottom of the Batman case- I had to stitch it up by hand because my machine refused to do it.  I think it was due to the fact that I had to use Batman flannel because I couldn't find ANY Batman cotton.  I was so disappointed, but I think it turned out alright anyway.  As far as the snaps go, my husband helped me.  Cheesy

8  Re: Cupcake Swap Round 2 *ding ding* in The Swap Gallery by Vdbonnett on: June 24, 2010 10:28:15 PM
I received from Kelseylauren yesterday and I LOVE everything SO much.  : )

When I opened my package the first thing I saw was my new canvas tote bag.  She iron-transfered cupcakes onto the front and back.
The front says cupcake.  I couldn't get a picture without a shadow.

She made me two fabric buttons that she attached to the front of the tote bag.  One fell off of its backing in transit, but not to worry, I have a glue gun & I will fix it.  Smiley

Next is my apron. I love Love LOVE it!!  It's exactly what I asked for.   Cheesy

I was actually moving when my husband took the picture, but this one came out the best.

I <3 my dangly cupcake earrings.  I'm going to wear them to the grocery store tomorrow.

And all of my extras from left to right: cupcake favor box, cupcake coloring/activity set, mini cupcake notecards, cupcake magnet, Cupcake card w/ message inside from KelseyLauren, and 2 cupcake stamps

I can't wait to use my activity set.  I LOVE to color.   Grin

And a close-up of the magnet because it is just TOO cute.

Thank you so much Kelseylauren!! I love everything.   Smiley

9  Re: Dishalicious Dishcloth/Washcloth Swap Rd 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Vdbonnett on: May 10, 2010 03:18:57 PM

I received my dishcloths from craftADDchick today! They are so beautiful and I love them.  I especially love the colors.  I never would have thought to put those colors together, but they work well. Cheesy My favorite is the tulle scrubby.  The first one is a variegated zipper square.  The brown one is a chain stitch face cloth in the shape of a diamond and the striped one is based off of the Fibonacci series (I've never heard of this, but I'm going to look it up. I think it has something to do with math.) She says in her note that the scrubby (the round purple) was a prototype.  I LOVE IT! It is so awesome! I never would have thought to use tulle!
I use exclamation points a lot because I'm so excited!  Grin  Thank you SO much craftADDchick!!  You made this an awesome first swap for me!!!!
