1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first bikini on: September 22, 2016 12:07:23 AM
Hello!

I've been sewing for a few years now, but there was something I hadn't tried before. Sewing swimwear!

I'm a great fan of knits so I don't know why I was so afraid to make a bikini.

It's really easy and I love how little fabric you need to make them.

Well, here are the pictures, hope you like it:

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Needle Book on: August 17, 2016 10:45:06 AM
This is my new Needle book

It's a simple rectangle made with popcorn stitches and folded in half.

For the inside I made two spools of thread to keep my sewing needles tidy.

Hope you like it. Smiley
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Kawaii Jellyfish on: August 02, 2016 03:14:03 PM
Hi!

Today I want to show you my last amigurumi creation.

It's something between a Jellyfish and a dessert.

If the jellyfish is placed over an amigurumi cone, it looks like an Ice cream with colourful toppings Cheesy I've already tried it but forgot to take pictures of it Cry

I hope you like it.  Grin Kisses and Hugs from the Canary Islands, Spain
4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Elegant Baby Seal on: July 21, 2016 02:46:53 PM
Hi!

I usually write in the 'Clothing' community, but recently I've discovered my love for crochet and Amigurumi.

I can stay hours 'watching' TV and knitting without noticing how time passes away.

I have made several things of crochet and amigurumi that I gave out as gifts, but this one I'm keeping for my sewing room.

It's a baby seal with a top hat and a black tie... I think he looks so funny all dressed up. Lol

Thanks for your time
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Peplum and bows on: April 03, 2016 01:00:49 AM
Hi!

This is the last piece of clothing I've made to increase my wardrobe.  Cheesy

It's a top made out of a medium weight Ponte Roma.

For the front I decided to slice the pattern at the waist and then I added a belt made by pleating the fabric to make it look like small bows.

For the back I decided to make a cascade peplum.

And that's all.  Cheesy Thanks for reading!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Gathered top on: February 09, 2016 05:25:04 AM
Hello!

This is my last top, I keep making things in stretch fabric, it's so comfy  Cheesy

The side seams are gathered, and stabilized with clear elastic.

I really think gathered tops give a 'slimmer look', do you agree?

I decided to gather a central panel of the sleeves too. It gives a nice touch, although it's hard to see on the dressform.

And that's all!. A huge hug from the Canary Islands, Spain
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Pompon Wreath on: November 30, 2015 11:02:17 AM
A few days ago, I finished my first Christmas Wreath.

It is made out of 2 spools of wool in different shades of green. I made lots of pompons with the wool and glued them over a piece of stiff cardboard.

To decorate the wreath I used dried flowers and some pine cones.  Cheesy

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Tree made out of Tulle on: November 26, 2015 04:59:58 AM
Yesterday I finished my new pink Christmas tree.

It's made out of a roll of 25 yards of pink tulle and little pink pearls.

It's very easy to make, you only need to cut the tulle in different lengths and knot the stripes to a wooden stick.

Afterwars you can sew some pearls and that's really all of it.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / One shoulder top on: September 06, 2015 04:06:29 AM
Hi again!

A few weeks ago I had to attend a 'formalish' dinner and had nothing to wear. A dress was too much so I decided to make a top which I could dress up with a pencil skirt or wear it casually with a pair of jeans and nice shoes.

I'm always making things in stretch fabric because to me, they are the most comfortable pieces of clothing  Cheesy

I decided to add a batwing sleeve, it's really nice but in pictures you can't appreciate how it falls.

I decided to 'semi line' it. Once I wear it you can't see where the lining ends, but on the dressform, as it has a black background it's pretty noticeable.

I'm really happy how this one turned out Cheesy
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Owl on: August 02, 2015 07:28:16 AM
I just finished making this Owl.

I drafted the pattern and sewed it with leftover pieces of other projects.

It has pockets to store things in it
