1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Polka dot bow on: January 31, 2015 11:55:45 AM
Hi! It's been a while since I last posted something here. I've been busy sewing and creating my own Spanish sewing blog. Cheesy

This is the first top I finished this year. I usually make all my patterns on paper but recently I bought a dressform and I'm learning how to drape on it. This is the second piece of clothing I make with the help of it, and I can assure you it's a fun process.

The fabric used is viscose with nylon, dusty pink with black polka dots. I bought 2 meters, and I was able to make this top and a knee length dress!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Half circle skirt on: November 02, 2012 01:32:23 PM
It's the first one I make, It took me almost 2 weeks (I'm not a fast sewer and I had to remove and sew again an invisible zipper. The first one melted while ironing lol).

It's fully lined, and I know it's very simple, but I eat it. This is the way I think I'll wear it, with a belt and a pink top

And here without the belt

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Polka dot corset on: September 30, 2012 01:42:06 PM
I started my first corset a few months ago and I finished it today Cheesy. I used 20 grommets, and for the boning 21 cable ties. It's not perfect, but at this point I'm so tired of it that I really don't care. lol

My 'lovely' dress form giving it a try

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Dress to attend wedding on: July 13, 2012 04:27:58 PM
Last month, I had a wedding to attend but didn't have a dress to wear. I went out shopping and tried at least 20 dresses, all of them where over $120 (many of them weren't worth the money) and I didn't like them at all.

I ended sewing it by myself, total cost: $18. I used a pile of flesh! My first time using one, and I discovered that it's much easier making clothes with a pile of flesh than doing them 'by eye'. I used New Look 6750.

PS: The sleeves are really nice but can't be seen on the picture, they are done with two pieces of fabric, front one in grey and the back one in black

Finished and ready to go:

I hadn't finished it in this picture, still had to adjust, sew and serge (I bought a serger a few months ago and I eat it) but you can see the details on the sleeve and the bodice:
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cheap, easy & fast on: December 10, 2009 10:50:03 AM
I always visit crafster looking for inspiration, but over the last few months I've really had no time to make anything extraordinary, instead I've been making some... cheap, easy & Really FAST clothes. So... here we go.

Made it a few hours before going out... my friends really liked it and I'm pleased with the final result:

This one is pretty easy... I bought a similar top for about 7 and ended up returning it, after I found this fabric for 3...

This is a dress I'm making for a Christmas dinner with some friends, it's not finished yet, but you can see the general idea. It's made from 2 layers of fabric, one black, and the other one with those shiny things (I don't know the word, lol)

And the last one... this was the second thing I made when I started sewing on June...

And I just realized I can wear it backwards... and I like it even more!! LOL

Thanks for looking!!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Last thing! on: November 01, 2009 02:54:51 PM
So, this was supposed to be a corset styled top, but I got stuck and didn't know how to make the part that goes on top of what I've done (excuse my english, I'm from Spain Cheesy).

So... I ended up, making this sort of thing with some chain, a zipper, 2 safety pins and I wore it this afternoon with a belt. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / New 2$ top on: October 30, 2009 06:26:23 AM
This fabric is so cheap, I eat it, and it's usually easy to work with. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm not having too much time to make new clothes... (I hate studying Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed), so right now I'm going for the easy and quick things. Wink

This top is the last thing I've done:

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 1$ purse? on: September 23, 2009 04:42:31 PM
I don't know if this type of purse has a specific name... so... whatever.

My first attempt to make one, I made it from scratch Cheesy Cheesy: some table cloth and bias tape.

Thanks for looking!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Less than 2$ on: September 11, 2009 12:21:09 PM
And I eat it...  Cheesy Cheesy

It's simple, although the fabric was impossible to work with and made it quite difficult to make...

Enough said... pictures:

The stitches on the left will be covered with 2 golden buttons that I'll buy tomorrow Lips sealed Lips sealed
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / 1st & 2nd attempt at trousers on: August 30, 2009 05:16:53 PM
Now that I can make my own tops and all that stuff I decided to take it a bit further and make some trousers!

So this is my first pair of trousers and my first time sewing a zipper... I thought it was going to be much more difficult than it really was...
I think I eat sewing zippers! Lol.

Here we go... it's not perfect but... since this are the first ones I make and I'm teaching myself, what more can I expect?

And then I made this ones, which I finished today. I was a little bit lazy with the zipper and kept it simple:

Once I make enough trousers I'll start with... jackets!!
