2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pet Costume Hat - A monster on: December 22, 2009 11:22:45 AM
This is the latest pet hat I made. Can you tell it's a monster? Or does it just look weird? haha Oh well...

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pet Costume Hats on: December 18, 2009 11:33:19 AM
This is what I've been working on lately. I made a rabbit one back in 2002ish? I can't remember if I ever posted it on craftster or not. My cat was purring in all of these pics even though she was annoyed! lol She finds the bunny ears especially annoying.

4  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Octopucs Cephalopod Amigurumi Ornament on: November 27, 2009 12:33:15 PM

I made this little Christmas ornament today. It is a very basic pattern with a ton of versions floating around but here is how I made mine...

MATERIALS
+ yarn
+ 9mm safety eyes, pink
+ fiberfill
+ black thread
+ Size F crochet hook

HEAD
R1 - (Use magic loop 6 technique OR...) Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook (6 sts)
R2 - *2 sc in next st* repeat 6 times (12 sts)
R3 - *1 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat 6 times (18 sts)
R4 - *2 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R5 - *3 sc, 2 sc in next st* repeat 6 times (30 sts)
R6-R10 - Sc around (30 sts)
R11 - *3 sc, dec*  repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R12 - *2 sc, dec*  repeat 6 times (18 sts)
R13 - *1 sc, dec*  repeat 6 times (12 sts)
At this point attach 9mm safety eyes and stuff firmly.
R14 - Dec around 6 times (6 sts)
Cut yarn leaving tail, fasten off, weave in ends.

ARMS
The arms are worked directly from the body so you don't have to go back to sew them on. Repeat this step 8 times.

On underside of head draw up a loop of yarn. Ch 12. 3 sc in second ch from hook, *3 sc in next st* 4 times, sc across untill end, fasten off, weave in ends.

Thread about 8 inches of embroidery floss through the top of the head so you can hang it from Christmas tree.

Enjoy!
5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Owl Amigurumi on: November 26, 2009 08:31:43 AM
This little owl is my latest amigurumi creation. It took several hours to design it. If I crocheted it with the pattern already made it would probably take me 2 or 3 hours to make because of the sewing involved. He's about 3.5 inches tall. These things are starting to get addicting!

6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Sycamore Squirrel on: November 22, 2009 09:04:09 AM
I've been crocheting for a long time and just recently started designing my own patterns. Of course I want to show them off! This guy is a little squirrel. At first I was trying to design a cat. It didn't quite look like a cat head but I still liked the shape so I kept going! Glad I did! Smiley
