1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Feathery Goodness! on: July 03, 2011 09:48:40 PM
Haven't posted on Craftster in eons....

I've been having fun playing around with feathers lately.....here are several feather earring sets I made tonight:

I also made some feather + button hair clips:

Another shot of the same, slightly different angle:

C+C welcome! =)
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Silhouettes of Children for Christmas Gift! on: December 25, 2010 09:20:34 PM
Thanks, everyone! Smiley I'm happy to report that she LOVED them....they are already hanging on the living room wall in a "stair step" configuration and look so cute!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Silhouettes of Children for Christmas Gift! on: December 23, 2010 05:08:59 PM
So this year I wanted to give my BFF something unique and meaningful for Christmas.....and this is what I came up with:

I made these silhouettes of her 3 kiddos with some pics I lifted from her Facebook and some scrapbooking paper I had on hand. I found these awesome 12x12" frames that were perfect for them, then added black ribbon bows to hang them by. Here are a few close-ups (sorry for the crappy pics):

(the background has a very subtle pattern, but it didn't translate too well in the photo)

(not sure what that green dot is on her face -- must've been on the camera lens)

I'm happy with how they came out and can't wait to give them to her tomorrow! What do you think? C+C welcome.  Cheesy

7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Little Christmas world in a jar on: November 23, 2009 10:25:48 AM
This is adorable! I bet you could recycle used-up Yankee candle jars to make these, too. Cute gift/decoration idea!
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Show Off Your Hair! on: December 26, 2008 09:32:52 AM
I wanna play, too!

I've gone from having all-one-length, straight, brown hair forever to short and auburn in the last year....here's a photo documentary of my transformation:

Super-old pic of me with my boring hair:

Last Christmas, boring again:

With some long layers in front (not the greatest pic, but oh well):

Short, choppy layers:

Recent photo, shorter, assymetrical and auburn:

Wish I could do something more drastic, but I teach school...in a pretty conservative district.

I'm thinking about trying another color -- maybe a dark brownish-red or plum....any suggestions?

10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Photos of around my neighborhood on: June 21, 2008 07:59:54 AM
I absolutely love these! That first one is my fav....the peeling, rough texture you captured is fabulous! Also, the color is really beautiful in the other pictures.
