11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Different types of presser feet ?!? Img. Heavy on: February 13, 2011 04:55:47 PM
Oh wow, I was about to make this post.  I too inherited my granny's sewing machine which was beyond repair (having your uncle put it outside for about a year in all weather will do that), but have all these presser feet.  Unfortunately, it's a kenmore, too, so it doesn't help me with my singer machine.

Thanks so much DingDong for posting this, and seleniebeanie for explaining all of the pieces.

Oooh, this looks like something Elphaba from Wicked would carry! Smiley  What kind of material is it lined with?

How thoughtful, I agree.  My best wishes for you and yours in this time of loss.

But the craft itself is really awesome, too.  I love the use of that rich red, you used it to great effect with lots of contrast with the other parts.  Great job!

Oooh, I love turquoise and red.  What a find!  I love how you kept the damaged yellow finish and how it contrasts well with the more feminine patchwork.

Digging the red rickrack, too.

Great makeover of a truly frumpy dress with awesome material!  So much more flattering and stylish now.

Oooh, I love this, and I actually like the shorter version somehow better for the green and navy/black material better!  Good recon!
