1  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / ? about jolly roger pattern(s) on: January 17, 2012 09:10:54 AM
my daughter is working on this pattern and she is trying to decide on the front ... first front or second front.

I don't want to toot my own horn but I'm not bad at reading a pattern and both she and I are totally stumped at the directions for second front.

our confusion is in the First Front and Second Front

is this an either or?  because we are totally lost on the directions for Second Front
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / PUMPKINS on: August 14, 2011 05:28:55 PM
I'm getting really anxious for Fall.  my favorite time of year Smiley

I used Tunisian knit stitch.  ever since I heard about tunisian in the round I've been addicted.  I'm still figuring out the nuances of working in the round with Tunisian crochet but all in all I've been really excited about how it looks.  I have tried knitting and I can kind of knit, but when it comes right down to it, knitting takes me forever so I love doing this knit stitch with crochet because it works up so much faster for me (though it is much thicker than just knitting).
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / baby sneakers ! squeeeeal on: May 15, 2011 05:11:37 AM
I made my first pair of baby sneakers a few weeks ago and I still just can't get over how amazingly cute they are.  I get all silly and childish when I look at them.

the first pair I made for a friend who is having her first baby soon and I wanted her to have something special for her little guy.  since then I just can't stop making them.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / TARDIS blanket on: December 25, 2010 12:33:13 PM
I made this for my oldest son, and maybe a little bit for myself (being that we are a family of scifi nerds and it's all my fault)

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / made some more warming wear on: November 06, 2010 10:37:41 AM
just improvising some hats.  it's been fun

I used a tunisian knit stitch for these.  I might do it again

some hand warmers I've made this week

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / my favorite fingerless gloves so far on: October 04, 2010 10:26:26 AM
I made this pair a couple of weeks ago and I really love them.

my daughter has requested a pair for Trick or Treating in. Smiley

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / summer projects really image heavy on: October 04, 2010 10:21:31 AM
I haven't posted here for a long long time, but I was looking through my summer projects and thought that I'd show them off a lot.

pattern available on my etsy

I still have to block this one.  maybe I'll do that today and take new pictures when it's done

this one is crocheted... I used a transparent nylon line.  I've sold a couple of these and everyone who sees the one I wear often loves it.  I love it too, but I have to say the lace ones are my favorite.  I just have to make one for myself.

I did this one a couple of weeks ago.  I wish I would have had it listed before Halloween.. oh well.
I kind of want to do a black in black version
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / blossom hat ~ I'm all pleased with myself on: January 24, 2010 11:32:54 AM

I made this hat for my mother in law's friend to give to her granddaughter.  the 'order' was simply something girly and something that will fit a 3 to 5 year old head.

I've been so pleased with myself that I just had to show off a bit.

I am tempted to make one for myself... maybe even list them on my etsy... maybe.

I found the pattern on Ravelry
