3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: PUMPKINS on: June 18, 2013 08:14:36 AM
I've made more pumpkins.  I kind of love them.
but I was really sad that Hobby Lobby discontinues my favorite orange boucle yarn for this hat.  so I tried a new color, regular worsted weight.

I'm thinking that I might need to make a few more this year since Autumn is approaching and I want to be ready for Autumn sales.

I made these last year while my husband was ill in hospital for a couple of days.

I haven't written a pattern yet.  I'm not sure when I will ever get to.  but it's pretty simple if you can use a double ended hook.  it's just Tunisian in the round.  knit stitch.  and then I got brave and tried cables like a knitter would do and it worked out so very well!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Chunky Moebius Cowl (from a PlanetJune pattern) on: June 18, 2013 07:46:09 AM
my daughter just saw this and said "my cowl's on there?!"  she made a moebius with a different stitch, but the exact same yarn as this (original post) about two winters ago and wore it all the time last winter.

I have decided that this post deserves a bump
6  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / ? about jolly roger pattern(s) on: January 17, 2012 09:10:54 AM
my daughter is working on this pattern and she is trying to decide on the front ... first front or second front.

I don't want to toot my own horn but I'm not bad at reading a pattern and both she and I are totally stumped at the directions for second front.

our confusion is in the First Front and Second Front
is this an either or?  because we are totally lost on the directions for Second Front
