1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first post here! (Img. really, really big) on: August 12, 2009 02:38:20 PM
So the other day, I went on a crafting rampage, not only for myself, but also for my sister. Her stuff is here:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=316952.0
My sister, in the other thread, took the pictures, so the're not the best, but our photo skillez are about the same  Cheesy
I made 2 skirts and a dress

Skirt 1 was an L polo, a long sleeve and a some old PJ pants. I know the sleeve and ruffle look white, but the're actually light blue.

The print on the ruffle is little tiny flowers and dots.

The second skirt is from an old twin sheet. It has a blue and green plaid-like print over white, and a high elastic waist.

Twirl shot!

I'm really proud of my dress. The top has a peanuts print that I love, and I tried to match Snoopy's dog house red to the skirt:

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / How do YOU do knits? on: July 12, 2009 03:55:08 PM
Kinda self-explainatory...How do you (yes, YOU) embroider knits like jersey? I find it quite difficult, and was wondering if any of you had some tips  Grin
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Heres a tough one! Decrepid boots! on: June 14, 2009 02:02:03 PM
Ok, so my loving, faithful old combat boots have kicked the bucket, and kicked it hard. Theyre a ratty pair of vinyl ankle boots, straight out of the 80s. Theres no steel toe, the laces are falling apart and I love them. The rubber soles have literally fallen off, with the bottom thing between the rubber and the boot coming off, so I cant even give them away. These boots are old and have been through alot with me, and I cant bear to throw them away (seeing as Im a total pack-rat). I do love them so. Please, someone, help me salvage the boots I hold so dear, or I will cry  Cry
