1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Star Trek bag!!! on: December 26, 2004 04:13:29 PM

It's about 14" x 6" and fits all the stuff I need to lug around.  I ironed-on the Enterprise to a piece of thin white cotton and then sewed it on, along with little glass seed beads for stars.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Three takes on the Jordy bag on: December 24, 2004 11:23:01 AM
Hello everyone,

My name is Tina and I'm new here *waves*.  I've been browsing through all these wonderful tutorials, and I've made a few bags myself.  I'm addicted!   Smiley  I gave them all square bottoms a la Jordy bag.

A purse I made for my friend's birthday.  I used my Bedazzler (does anyone remember them/still have one?  I LOVE MINE, haha!) to set the little pearls.

A messenger bag I made for myself.

((edit))
At misanthrope's request, here are the images I used for the appliqus.  The star and eigth note are from a freeware font called Rock Star which you can download from http://www.dingbatdepot.com/dingbats_letter.asp?ID=R&offset=10.  I borrowed a strat from the Fender site and silhouetted it using the good ol' magic wand in Photoshop.  Wink

((/edit))

A tote/bookbag I made for another friend.  She's in Engineering and loves science and math, so I ironed-on a picture of Einstein.

After making three bags I realized I can't sew straight.  I know it sounds dumb, but does anyone have any tips or tricks they could share?  Thanks!
