That is adorable! What kind of button did you use? It looks like one of those "clippy" ones (e.g. doesn't use a button hole); how did you set it in the fabric?
Are you thinking of a snap? They have a little tool that you can buy with snaps at like, Michaels, or Joanns, or someplace like that. I got mine at Michaels. The tool is about 3 bucks and a little thing of snaps is about 3 bucks, then you just have to place the snap on the fabric and into the tool and hammer it down. That's how mine works anyways
Ohhhh okay. I've never seen them before, but I'll keep my eyes peeled the next time I'm at Michael's!
a-simple-melody: Go right ahead, I don't mind at all. I'd love to see your plushies whenever you get your camera fixed!
cowgirl: I LOVE YOUR DS9 CLUTCH! Are there any other ships on it or is it just the space station? I think I see part of the Enterprise or maybe it's the Defiant? I can't really tell. Where did you get the fabric? I LOVELOVELOVE the vibrant colours on the black background. *Wants fabric sooo badly!*
Did you do your embroidery (for the Chow Mein bag) on the sewing machine or by hand? I've tried embroidering by sewing machine, but the fabric keeps puckering. Any tips on keeping it flat and preventing puckering? Thanks!
I make my own. I found a piece of fabric in the remnant bin at my local Fabricland that resembled the slippery/satin-y type of material used in tags, so I cut them to size, interface, and then iron on my own logo. It's not the greatest (you can kinda see the rectangle where the iron on is), but it was cost efficient since I already had the iron-ons and it puts scrap interfacing to good use.
