1  Re: Make a Purse & Fill It Swap (Round 6) Gallery in The Swap Gallery by audette on: February 26, 2011 10:16:02 AM
I am so happy that aprettymess loves her goodies! It was super fun to make and get something wonderful in return! I got my box yesterday and took lots of pictures, we loved everything! now on to the pictures!
This is the purse, i love the shape of it! it's perfect for all our little baby things! The purse is also reverseable, will get pictures of the other side when we go out today!

This is the stack of goodness as it looked as i discovered it in the purse! I had to stop myself from just eating the dark chocolate, but i waited till I had opened everything!

The little adorable shirt that she made for my little monkey, i will have to post pictures of Monkey wearing it later!

Reusable Snack bag! great for our out and about life, i love the fabric! It's already packed with snacks!

She also sent Monkey some very cute bath toys! She has been chewing on them since they arrived! She loves them! Olie gets confused thou, she thinks they are dog toys! Smiley

and last but not least, she made me this wonderful picture frame! It has a new home in my Sewing Space! I love it!

Everything was wrapped in this wonderful pink paper, and numbered with a note explaining everything! It was a lot of fun and Thank you so much, aprettymess for being such a great partner!  <3

5  Quilts for Family (img. chubby) in Quilting: Completed Projects by audette on: June 21, 2009 05:41:25 PM
I have been quilting off and on for about 10 years now and I just got back into it again, the first quilt I made for my DH, he loves blue. My mom has a deep neck quilting machine and did the top quilting for me. I am happy with how it came out, the second quilt I made my Mother-In-Law using a stacked coin pattern. I love the vintage look it has to it. let me know what you think! Thanks for looking! C&C welcome.
This one has the pit bull seal of approval!

Karen's Quilt, also holds the Pit seal of approval!

7  Covers for everything!! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by audette on: June 21, 2009 05:28:03 PM
sooo when you have a animals, cats especially it seems that their hair gets everywhere. I spent an after noon making covers for my sewing machine and my kitchen aide mixer! I just measured and made it up as I went along. first the sewing machine cover, made from an bed sheet from the good will:

Then my kitchen aide cover which is reversible cherries on one side and polka dots on the other, my kitchen theme is cherries so i tend to leave it on that side but here are pics of both:

thanks for looking as always C&C welcome!
have a lovely day!

8  free ugly desk to wonderful pink desk! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by audette on: June 21, 2009 10:24:45 AM
I needed a desk and because we just didn't have the money for something new I searched craigs list for a sturdy free desk. when i went to pick it up i wasn't prepared for how ugly it really was. and after weeks of hard labor and chemicals this is what i came up with:

Then i made our headboard, very basic but I like the way it came out. Covered a piece of plywood with batting and then upholstery fabric and stapled it all in place!

C&C welcome!
thanks for looking!
