I love them!
I'm always making skirts out of old dress shirts, it's so easy and cute.

I'd definitely leave the bottom the way it is, it looks super cute!

Those are all so gorgeous! Also, I think it's really great that you thrifted the fabric.

17  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / My Bernette 66 is giving me some trouble! on: July 21, 2009 10:51:27 AM
Like I said, I have a Bernette 66, and I've had it for about four months without any issues (until now).

I was using it yesterday and I had a small tangle with the lower thread. I took out the bobbin and found a teeny clump of tangled thread. I removed that and a few loose strands from the bobbin holder and went about re-threading my machine (this has happened before). Now, here's my problem:

I cannot get the needle to pick up the lower thread!!!

I've threaded and re-threaded everything, used different bobbins and different thread, and even opened up the lower part of my machine (with help from the manual, of course) to give it a general cleaning and to see if there was anything keeping it stuck.
Zip.

Does anyone have any ideas?
