41  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Fruits Basket or Anime swap on: October 21, 2010 08:40:26 PM
I ADORE Fruits Basket to a ridiculous extent. I'd definitely be down for a swap.

Are you worried about the magnet on the button affecting the CC magnetic strip?
I was wondering the same thing. I'd be too afraid to store CC's and other stripped cards in one, but it'd be great for ID's and business cards. I LOVE the fabric and the design!

It's so cute! It reminds me of the cat on The Simpsons, I think because of the eyes.  Grin

Thanks so much you guys!
LordVader, yep, I'm pretty sure it was Heather. Color-changing is super simple once you get the hang of it. Lots of great tutorials online. =]

I think it all looks awesome, and I love the banner! The Labyrinth poster totally fits right in, too, IMO.
46  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Cthulhu R'lyeh! on: October 15, 2010 09:58:25 PM
I think he looks adorable! The smaller they come out the cuter they are. I like what you did with the wings, they seem a bit tentaclely themselves!

Sorry the wing part of the pattern was confusing. I have added a tutorial for the wings (http://cthulhucrochet.blogspot.com/2009/09/wing-tutorial-for-tiny-cthulhu.html). If anyone wants to PM me or send me a message through the email address listed on the blog, I'd love more feedback about what part of the wing directions people find confusing.

Thanks again for sharing your cthulhu. It's nice to see the patterns being used. Smiley

Thanks! Even though I got confused, I still love the way he turned out. You made a great pattern! A lot of more experienced crocheter's I know didn't have problems with it at all, so I think it was just me, although they found a few parts that had to be reworded a bit, but it was nothing major. I'll PM you what they sent me when they looked at it, but it's probably nothing that'd have to be changed. Thanks for providing us with something so awesome to work with (I can't create patterns for the life of me yet), I'll definitely be making him many other Cthulhu friends to hang out with.

That's a really novel idea! What are you going to use them for?
48  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Cute Lil' Candy Corn on: October 13, 2010 04:23:59 PM
It's so cute! I love the face you put on it. I've been meaning to make one of these forever, but I always forget to buy orange yarn. By the time I get around to it, it won't be Fall anymore... not that that'll stop me.  Smiley
49  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Scarf Weather, Finally! on: October 13, 2010 04:16:39 PM
Usually I only end up crocheting things for myself and my friends, so I figured I should finally make something just for my boyfriend (even though I might borrow it  Grin). So, with the lack of any other ideas, I decided to go with a simple scarf, since he doesn't have any and mornings when he's awake here are already COLD.
I used Lion Brand Jiffy yarn in brown and gray (I threw away the paper from the skeins, so I don't remember the exact colors) and a size K-6.50MM hook and just started double crocheting. I didn't follow any pattern, I just kind of went with whatever came out. I think it turned out nicely, and he loves it, so I say it's a success.  Grin
Any C&C is appreciated! Thanks for looking, ya'll!

Ahhhh I want her! She was like my role model when I was young. Which just shows what my mother had to put with...  Grin
