1  Re: November 2012 Birthday Swap - Discussion and Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Craftsy on: December 04, 2012 09:48:15 PM
Glad everything got to you, you sound like me with sweets  Tongue

I received a very  'me' package from ceemonster.

First thing I pulled out the box was this canvas art work that she made from a saying I had pinned. It means so much to me and will be used to draw strength from daily.

Next was this fab heart wire ring.

And finally a beautiful pea pod pendant. I have the perfect chain for it and will be wearing it often.

Thank you so much ceemonster. You got me down to a T!

I hadn't heard from Craftsy if she received my thank you card, and I sent along a little thank you gift. I saw in her profile that she likes bunnies, so I made her this felt badge:
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/227750_03Oct12_DSC01460.JPG

I was really excited how it turned out, and I hope she liked it. Smiley

I actually posted a number of pages back that I got it! I LOVE it, I was waiting on the frame to dry so I could frame it. Anyway here it is in all its awesomeness.

I need a bright piece of felt to replace the piece of brown card behind the patch but it takes pride of place on top of my display hutch thingy. No idea if you take commissions or not but I would love to buy an identical patch with a rabbit facing the other way if you ever felt like making one sometime?!

I truly do love it and you were fun to craft for. I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

3  Re: Pet Swap: Rodent Revolution 4 Signups May 28 to June 4th or until full in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Craftsy on: June 01, 2012 05:48:13 PM
Yay! I am in I got my feedback! I was worried! This is Annabelle Lee, the anniversary bunny my boyfriend got for me!
When I got her she was neglected by some children and was one solid mat, now she rules the roost thumping her foot at any one who dare get in her way! I am astounded by how unafraid she is of our giant softee of a dog.

I just adore her little mustache!

My boy looks a lot like your bun, but is rather less hairy! I really want to join this swap but I am going to be going to England for a month in 3 weeks. I will have to see if it's even feasible for me.

Next all of the 12x12 papers, including a full stack Shocked Also cool stickers and stamps and origmai paper to make dolls. I am going to try a few of these this evening, my husband even wants to try, i will be sure to post our attempts when they are done.

And lastly we have brads, a paris stencil, patterned felt, sticky dots and possibly my favorite of all (well it was hard to decide!) is all the cut outs of various things includng birds, postcards and even a mason jar! Naja also included a beautiful card that can be seen bottom left.

I have no doubt missed something but I love it all and my mind is on overdrive thinking of all the possibilities!

Finally getting pics up!

First a pic of my handmade items, my favorite has to be the rat coin purse!

The other items shown that Disco made me were 3 snack bags, a cute rat, beautiful blue bracelet, headband and a finger pin cushion.

Here are the magnets (straight off my wists!) that were already on my bathroom cabinet.

Here is a pic of everything else but I must confess the crisps and the big selection box didn't make it in, nothing is left of either.

Items include a rat game, British tea, a mini sewing kit in a cute tin, gorgeous sewing scissors, 2 geocoins, a sherbert fountain, various thimbles and various bits and pieces to make my own jewelry.

Thanks so much Disco, I had a lot of fun!

Ok, I finally was able to find a minute to post pics!

First pic is of everything all beautifully wrapped up.

Next is a picture of everything together including my first ever ami, coasters (which are hanging on our tree Smiley , my husband and I both agreed they were too nice to cover with a mug!) and all my sweets. The milky way, milky bar, one fudge and minstrels have been eaten already Cheesy The minstrels were devoured at the movies, sure beat all the American candy they had.

And lastly another pic of my new rat! I am yet to name him but hopefully the perfect one will pop into my head.

Thanks so much MissDolly!

I'm sorry that I didn't get to take pics yesterday as promised. One of my 2 rats went rapidly down hill last night and sadly had to have her PTS this afternoon Cry

This was my actual birthday shirt-

This was the shirt Faren claimed went wrong but I still love it!

I adore them both so much, sorry I haven't any action shots but I wasn't really feeling up to it. They both fit and look great though! It was by far the best present for my birthday  Cheesy

Here are the extras, including an amazing handmade card that she kindly left blank so I could use again.

You have had me looking up the technique used and I have added it to my have to try pile lol. I so didn't need another obsession Roll Eyes

Thanks again Faren!

Wow everyone managed to fit so much in!

I had started to get worried my envelope had got lost somewhere but no! It arrived this morning and can't believe the amazing things I was sent!

First the envelope had cute little fingerprint rats all over them Grin

All the items together:

DoodleLou sent me googly eyes, big disney stickers (my favorite one has to be Dumbo!), small fabric panels, a gorgeous red glass pendant, an adorable needle felted rat Cheesy and she even included a land rover patch for my husband! He is going to be so happy when I show him lol. I think its a transfer?

Here are my favorites, the pendant and the little rat now named Ernie (Don't ask me why, first name that came to me!)

Thank you so much DoodleLou, I couldn't have gotten anything more me in an envelope even if I filled one myself.

10  Re: Jar of Whimsies 6 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Craftsy on: October 01, 2009 10:56:52 AM
Wow, where do I even start! I received from the amazing AtlasCoughed today and now I want to go grab my jar of whimsies back and add more  Undecided

Firstly my amazing tree of life whimsy 'jar'

She knew I loved tree of life things and also sewn bowls and combined the two. She couldn't have picked a more perfect colour. I so squealed when I unwrapped all the tissue paper from it.

All my whimsies together

She included lots of jewelry making items as I would love to start to learn, now I can! I can't even remember if I told her but I love buttons and she sent me lots. Opening all the little individual jars from the tree was like Christmas.

Crafted items;

Not one but two amazing tree of life pendants, shrinkie dink buttons, a dragonfly right off my wists, a rabbit stamp that I am desperate to try and even polymer beads and a pendant. I feel so bad I didn't craft more whimsies for you Sad

Beads/ Jewelry bits;

Buttons:

Other random bits:

Favorites:

Ok so you can see I have lots of favorites, but who wouldn't? I love sebastian from the little mermaid, the pinata badge, stamp, my very own tree of life pendants Grin , the clothes line beads and well everything else you see in the pic.

If that wasn't great enough when you remove all the blossom from my jar it becomes a jewelry stand! I will try to get a better picture of this soon!

Thank you so much Alex, I can't tell you how great everything is. Now to clear a space on my dressing table for my tree Grin
