1  Re: WWP Round 41 - Imbolc Wall Art Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Spidersweb on: February 05, 2013 04:16:59 PM
Thesillyseemstress is dealing with some stuff right now, so I'm going to post for her.  She needs our positive energy, y'all!

Here is what I made her:

What I made: WWP Imbolc 2013 Swap by Spidersweb, on Flickr

I'm afraid this was the last picture I took, and the glitter was not 100% dry yet, but I really liked the juxtaposition of burlap with soft, shiny thread, glitter, and jewels.

I picked Kali because Thesillyseemstress said she was very much into Her and Kwan Lin.  I haven't worked with Kali much before, but I really responded to the research and crafting this!  Bright Blessings!

I love my Hekate image, and I'm bowled over by my extras: a crystal and some very yummy smelling dried sage!  Thank you!

So it's not quite 100% yet, but I couldn't resist!  My sister loves bulldogs, and happens to be living in France right now, where she finds things need not to be taken so seriously (often!).

This will be her holiday present!

I received from CelticGoddess yesterday!  My kitty decided she'd pose nicely (after ignoring her special cushion for over a week, I cleaned the house and voila! It's appealing again) with the package.

And here's a close-up!

It's awesome!  I love the sparkly border.  I bought some command strips to hang stuff on my wall and will post a pic of my wall (all 2 hoops of it!) soon!

7  Re: WWP Round 37 - Lammas Bounty Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Spidersweb on: August 04, 2012 07:49:49 AM
Wow! What an amazing gallery so far! I have been MIA for so long due to lightening strike, but I did receive a stunning package from Spidersweb.

Here is the amazing summer blouse she made and the herb bundle I received.  The blouse is so comfy, light and flowy I wish I had an action shot for you all! I think she drafted her own pattern for this as well based on my measurements!!

I did take a close up of the amazing stitching and fabric.  I am not brave enough to attempt sewing on such delicate fabric but her blouse looks flawless! You can see how light and sheer this fabric is, perfect for the 95+ degree weather and all the horrid humidity we have been having this year.  I just layer it with a light tank and I am good to go!   Thank you so much spidersweb! I hope you package has shown up to you by now, I know it is horribly late and I apologize for that.  The thunderstorms this year have been amazing and not something I am used to, in Portland it rained ALL the time but it was never a storm, it was just wet and gloomy.  In Jersey we have had some knock out, banging, flashing, crazy ass storms that have left the dog, cats, and the girls running for Momma and Daddy!

I don't know about flawless.  I learned a lot about sewing chiffon on this project.  I just tried to keep the not so good parts in the underarms.  Grin

I got my package from Whileiteraining yesterday when I got home from work!

Lammas/Lugh swap! by Spidersweb, on Flickr

It's a big retro apron (&reversible!) and a picture locket necklace!

Also, here's a pretend action shot of the blogs on Betsy, my mannequin, before I sent to Ani.

Thank you so much for my apron and locket.  I'm always cooking and can use another apron!

I received from Merliquin today!

I'm going to take it to school and show my students.  I caught one of them grafitti'ng "bad wolf" in the bathroom and we bonded (after we talked about not defacing things).  Since then, they bring me other students who like Who, too.   Cheesy

Thank you for a fun swap!

I'm so sorry Angerona's hair got cracked off!!!  Cry

I received Tuesday, but the mailman gave it to my neighbor (I was at work), and she brought it over later.  Here's what was inside:

I got two pairs of earrings and two pretty goddess pictures!  I'm planning on wearing the earrings on Monday along with my crazy black sweater with sequined Jack O'lantern (thrifted down by my nana, awful & inappropriate for my age -but kinda obnoxiously fun).

Thank y'all for a good and fun swap.  I can't wait to see everyone else's packages!
