1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidery Skully on: March 29, 2012 02:07:15 PM
A fellow crafter and friend Lindyv321 had asked for something off her pinterest board for her birthday and she had this design "pinned".  I did with a running stitch and tye-died embroidery thread on muslin.

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / RIP Pancakes.... on: March 29, 2012 02:02:50 PM
My co-worker Whitney had a beautiful dog named Pancakes.  Whitney found her in the desert, abandoned, abused, and sick.  Pancakes flourished under loving care and was the sweetest thing.  Sadly, she contracted Valley Fever with complications and had to be put to sleep this last month.  As a tribute, I sketched this picutre for Whitney to remember her puppy.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Doily made into Blanket on: January 23, 2012 12:17:33 PM
The pattern is from "Absolutely Gorgeous Doilies by South Maid published by Leisure Arts, #18. Pineapple Song. I LOOOVE this pattern and decided to make into a wedding gift blanket instead of a Doily.  Used soft worsted weight yarn and 6.5 hook.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cable Crocheted Scarfs on: January 13, 2012 02:53:11 PM
Out of a scarf pattern book (which I will add here asap), fun and easy and i love the "cuff" at the end. One was for a christmas present and the other was for Lindyv321 for a swap.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted Blanket on: January 13, 2012 02:44:05 PM
I made this one for Lindyv321 as an angel for the mini-12 days of christmas swap.  I used three different brands of yarn (all worsted weight) and a 6.5 crochet hook.  It was nice and soft and floppy just the way i like my blankets Smiley

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Doily Vs Blanket on: January 13, 2012 02:34:17 PM
So I am obsessed with doily patterns. Love them, Love working in rounds, I don't get bored as I do with other patterns, and usually doesn't involve tucking and weaving in many ends.  This one was intended for size 10 crochet thread, i used worsted weight brushed yarn.

adding a picture of my uncle so you can see the size.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Slouchy Beanies on: January 13, 2012 02:29:31 PM
There is Crochet book (Celebrity Crochet Slouchy Beanies for the Family by Lisa Gentry- published by Leisure Arts) with this lacy beanie pattern.  I am addicted.  Everybody I know, got one of these.  Red heart has their Boutique line of yarns, and one of these hats is one skien...LOVE making these.

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pinneapple blanket on: January 13, 2012 02:01:22 PM
I had this wonderful pineapple pattern for a scarf.  I loved it so much I wanted to make a blanket it out of it. Used Brushed white yarn  on the middle panel and brushed turquoise on the two sides. JoAnn's has this yarn called Rainbow Boucle Shimmer yarn which I used as the 2nd yarn throughout.  Nice and slouchy, soft and my mother-in-law loved. WIN WIN!!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Granny square bag with beads on: January 13, 2012 01:07:16 PM
I did this bag for Fukubukuro Bag swap and I loved making it.  I used size 10 crochet thread and size 11 beads.

Only had one small incident with the beads and a large strip of duct tape helped with that:)
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Doily Crazed on: March 04, 2011 09:53:05 AM
My mother- in-law gave me an OLD crochet pattern book back in October and I have been obsessed. For Christmas I picked a design out and made for her.
