11  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Depp is god... on: April 01, 2005 08:42:05 PM
posted this a while back in clothing recons, not exactly a recon, figured i'd better post it in its proper place...freehanded the drawing...stenciled it...added the letters because of their obvious appropriateness (lol)...added some lace at the bottom for sh*ts and giggles

12  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Should I?.... on: April 01, 2005 08:17:17 AM
i drew this out...but i dont know if i want to put it on canvas...i'd be using acrylic, so it's totally doable, really, but i'd like to be able to sell my next painting and i dont know if there's an interest for stuff like this...what do you think?

13  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / sexy shelf thingy... on: March 29, 2005 07:10:23 PM
i had a plain wood shelf w/ a door that had cutouts on the door of moons and stars...my want of a celestial-themed room faded quickly, so i dry-brushed everything but the door then collaged the door all in black and white.  then i put sexy words (in colour so they stand out) all over it. it's supposed to kinda look like the words are coming out of the faceless guy's mouth (or lack thereof), dont know if u can really tell....gonna add some black lace around the door and handle too

14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / flowery goodness on: March 29, 2005 06:55:14 PM
i know, i know, a million people have posted these already, but this is my first pillowcase skirt, and im proud.  used a REALLY old pillowcase (once belonging to my grandmother) and the bottom of a tank top.  gonna add some pink ribbon somewhere too...

15  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / New curtains...what to do? on: March 28, 2005 06:53:44 PM
I just found...yes, found...these fabulous curtains in my mother's stash of fabrics.  I snagged them, needless to say, but they dont exactly go with my living room as it is now.  Good news tho...I'm totally open for change and suggestions...

I have a black couch, lots of black accents, and my other dominent colour was red, but since that mostly came through my old curtains, that can change.  I have a lot of browns and beiges as well, and a lot of wood.

Please help!!!
16  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / SPARKLY SHOES!!!! on: March 24, 2005 02:41:58 PM
I saw a pair of sparkly pumps at Browns shoes, but they were a few hundred bucks (ouch!).  They didnt look complicated at all, so i decided to save some money and do them myself.  I found a pair of simple black pumps for $40 at Winners, i bought a few things of sparkles, some spray-on adhesive, some sealant, and went to work...a messy job, but SO worth it...

17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / embellished denim jacket on: March 22, 2005 12:35:41 PM
one of my first projects, be gentle...had a denim jacket that i never wore, painted the most gorgeous man on the planet on the back, added some lace around the bottom...

sorry about the size of the pics...can anyone tell me how to get them bigger?  i had to cut them down A TON to get them to fit...
18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Can I use acrylic?... on: March 14, 2005 09:38:53 PM
this is definitely going to sound like a really stupid question...pardon my ignorance, i've never done this before....if i want to just free-hand a design onto a shirt, can i use acrylic paint?
19  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Where to get iron-ons made? on: February 16, 2005 06:19:13 PM
I just found a pic online that i printed and modified, but I dont have a scanner to print it as an iron-on...however it is that you do that.  Is there a place that I can bring my drawing in to get it printed as an iron-on?  Please keep in mind that I'm in Canada, so I may not have the same resources as our friends to the south...
20  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Need help with my kitchen... on: February 12, 2005 10:21:57 PM
I've been taking forever to finish my kitchen, and I need some serious help.  I got too eager and painted the ceiling and two walls medium gray, and painted the walls the cupboards are on cranberry red.  Now I dont know what to do with the doors.  I want to do some sort of pattern with black (I think) but I kinda have to include white too, since my counter is white and my landlord won't let me paint it.  Any ideas?  I'm traditional -- to some extent -- so it makes it kind of hard.  Please help!!
