1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Wanted good fabric paint on: January 24, 2005 10:27:06 PM
1. Im looking to buy a good brand of fabric paint. I will be using it mostly on cotton. A wide range of colors is a must. I know my local Joann fabric has one called tulip. Id really rather shop at a local small art shop. Does anyone have any experience with a brand called speedball?

2. My mom has a bunch of polyester/cotton thread from about the early to mid eighties (it says New in big red Letters on it), im wondering if it's still strong and worth using. It seems just peachy.
2  California / California: Central / Awesome fabrics store in Berkeley/Bay Area on: December 21, 2004 06:56:36 PM
Stone Mountain Daughter (Shattuck Ave in Berkeley) is one of the most wonderful fabric stores in existence. They have a wonderful selection of fine fabrics and accessories. My mom has been shopping there since they opened in 1981. Independent Crafts stores seem to be disapearing left and right around here. Im really glad Mountain Daughter is still around.  Kiss
