1  Horror wedding skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by tmd85 on: March 06, 2011 02:08:37 AM
I don't really make myself anything but I couldn't find anything I liked in the shops to wear to my cousins wedding. I'm not keen on girly clothes so I think my choice of fabric made the design not as girly as it could be. Theres nothing wrong with wearing horror to a wedding, or is there  Huh

Not the best photos but thats all that has been uploaded atm.

Thanks for looking.

4  Pretty Petti in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by tmd85 on: August 25, 2009 02:58:18 AM
After seeing the pettiskirt tutorial on here, I decided to make my daughter one for her 3rd birthday. She chose black and fuschia when we went tulle shopping. The most tedious part was cutting out the strips (which I cut one by one) It took as long to cut the strips as it did to ruffle and sew the skirt.

So here it is.........

The bow is the same colour as the bottom ruffle my camera was being funny

Kinda an action shot.....

The bow isnt attached here

cheers
Tess

5  Strawberry Swirl Wrap Dress.... in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by tmd85 on: June 08, 2009 11:25:39 PM
Montana finally decided on some girly fabric, so I decided to make her a girly wrap dress.

I already had the pink fabric and the Strawberry fabric was $3/mtr (I think I used about a metre of it so yeah $3 dress) There is about 5 mtrs of pink ruffle on the bottom  Shocked I winged this one aswell so Im not too happy about the length of the bodice it could be shorter....

6  First hoodie..... in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by tmd85 on: May 09, 2009 09:30:57 PM
After reading a tute on here (cannot remember who by) I decided that it shouldn't be too hard to make a hoodie for my daughter.

I used an old pair of gray tracksuit pants for the lining, an old black tshirt for the cuffs, bottom band and lining of hood, already had the stretch knit checkered material and bought a zipper for $4, (Montana insisted it needed bunny ears!!)

Im quite happy with it although the hood could be a little bit larger....

Going to walk the puppy this morning,

Back view, with ears back,

Taking the puppy for a walk last night, not a happy camper...

Montana wants to wear the clothes I make her over her bought clothes, the little darling.

Cheers Tess

7  Re: First post......mini skirt and overall thingy in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by tmd85 on: May 06, 2009 04:30:07 PM
Im unsure why the photos are not loading, but for those who can see them I changed the overall thing.

Added some pleats in the front, red lining, some lace and a pocket (because Montana demanded a pocket).

Front, the red lining shows under the lace but you cant really see it in the photos...

Side...

Back...

Cheers,
Tess

8  First post......mini skirt and overall thingy in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by tmd85 on: May 05, 2009 09:58:01 PM
I have been a guest on Craftster for a while and heres my first post.

I bought my sewing machine in March to make #2 fitted nappies and realised I can't live without it.

Anyways, I took an old favourite skirt of mine and made my daughter a mini skirt and overall/dress thing (which I'm not liking and am going to change a bit)......Take a look and feel free to comment and critique.

First of the pleated mini. Which has baby pink satin lining,

Showing off the top part of the skirt....

Back shot of skirt...

Running...

And the overall/dress thing...

Cheers,
Tess
